Top US privacy bod: EU should STOP appeasing whiny consumers

Security Bickering Is Lethal.

Our mutual problem here is that our mutual enemy, our Muslim terrorists within our midst, are out to slit our throats, literally, not simply "moderately".

They're using our Internet to plan and organize this butchery.

Shouldn't the Internet be mutually monitored closely to see just who is communicating with whom, exactly what they're saying in their languages, and just where they are?

My complaints that my pictures of my record shattering penis and testicles will be observed by the GHCQ and posted all over their monitors everywhere are "private" are just silly once I've clicked "Send". Even if they're encrypted.

Nothing on the encrypted/unencrypted Internet should be out of reach of those seeking messages between Muslim terrorists during this time of open War.

We must decide on blanket observation/monitoring between all countries, or none at all.

There simply is no partial solution to finding Muslim terrorists. It's either/or.

So, we must recognize that our mutual Wartime/warlike Muslim enemy has altered our conventional wisdom on Internet communications without asking our permission.

Our mutual Muslim enemies are using us; and using our bickering among ourselves to their advantage.

First, though, we must all agree that we're literally at War with these Muslims.

Don't they remind us of this on a daily basis?

Meanwhile, on the other side of our World, I ran across this from the excellent website, PJMedia, an article by one David Steinberg dated 19Jan2015:

"Facebook Terror: Now-Arrested Jihadi Taught U.S. Jihadi How to Attack American Schools

An Indian newspaper publishes the transcripts, a lesson in online jihad outreach."

"An Indian newspaper publishes the transcripts, a lesson in online jihad outreach.

January 19, 2015 - 10:19 am

Just posted at MEMRI (subscription required, shared with permission): late last year, an Indian jihadist was arrested for his involvement in planning an attack on schoolchildren attending the American School in Mumbai.

The jihadist’s Facebook page was being monitored, and he was caught recruiting a willing U.S.- based jihadist to undertake a similar attack here." end paste.

The dialog is in a rather stilted English translation, but the meaning is quite clear.

Go ahead, read it. Maybe they're only "moderates", eh?

"The companies themselves have all sorts of interests, but one of those interests is they don't want to be the platform that becomes safe for terrorists to talk to each other and plan appalling outrages on."

I'm not so sure about the practical efficiency of that statement. How to prevent just that? How can the likes of Facebook and Google not "want" to be a safe platform for anybody? That's the very nature of their business. Those two conflicting interests are butting heads. What will Facebook and Google and their ilk do for revenue/income if they hamper unfettered access to their "platforms"?

How to pick and choose who is "safe" to be a user of their technology? How to choose when to deny access, or GASP!, how to allow the GHCQ access to their data? How to write the in-house protocols outlining the degree of cooperation deigned to be granted by them to anyone?

Did Google and Facebook help with locating the Muslim terrorists in Verviers and Paris? If not, and if they partitioned [is that the correct term?] off their data, then they become accessories to this Muslim terrorism, and deeply complicit.

Lots of righteous smug certitude needs to be punctured......without losing any votes for the next election.

Our Western Civ. philosophical meanderings are rendering us very vulnerable right now. Our problem is learning how to apply our Muslim enemy's tactics and strategy against our Muslim enemy.

Neville Chamberlain seems to be, retrospectively, the epitome of gentlemanly, impeccable Western Civ.

Alas, that didn't serve us very well. So, the previously reviled Winston Churchill was finally sought after and became elected. Then ignominiously defeated in election while he was at Potsdam with Truman and Stalin. [Bless him, did he think then, "You're welcome"?]

Re: @FormerKowloonTonger Lest We Forget.

Well said.

The consensus here is to grant carte blanche to our penetrating Muslim enemy [ who're reminding us non-muslims daily that they are indeed our enemy] while we just stand by all in the name of a blanket-all-encompassing 'Freedom', is simply delusional when our oriental muslim enemy aren't able to conceive of the concept of occidental 'Freedom'. They laugh at that concept. Just read their Koran. Our thought processes simply aren't the same.

Maybe those here so earnestly-smugly saying there is no muslim threat should remember Rotheram, South Yorks. If they indeed admit we have a muslim threat but, oh dear!, we mustn't read their emails; then that's opening a door to mayhem. An obstruction of generalized freedom of muslims to rape children of both sexes and slit our throats in the street.

Here's a partial example of muslim "entitlement" pasted from The Mirror:

"Monsters: Zafran Ramzan, Umar Razaq, Adil Hussain, Mohsin Khan and Razwan Razaq

Raped, beaten and abused by paedophiles, child victims of the vile monsters deserved the full support from the authorities whose job was to protect them.

But social worker chiefs, police and council bosses ignored their plight - leaving the perverts free to continue their reign of terror for 16 years – targeting 1,400 youngsters as young as 11, a report revealed today.

Instead, the victims were treated as “undesirables” and reports of the abuse were “swept under the carpet” because staff feared being labelled racist as most of the attackers were Asian

Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook".

And, this is merely the sexual entitlement of muslims. They also decapitate "infidel" soldiers on the street.

Expand those two mere sample of Koran authorized "attitude" to expecting dhimmitude in all facets of our lives. Our women out in public covered in black from head to toe, eye slits permitted.

But no, we mustn't invade the privacy of these muslims' emails to alert ourselves to protect ourselves. Nor must we read their emailed instructions from cell to cell in the old fashioned unremembered Soviet manner. That's racist and anti-muslim. Tut, tut.

This is why I'm convinced of the ostrich-like immaturity of the posters on this thread, regardless of their chronological age, and of their delusional and lethal "political correctness".

Suppose no Enigma machines were ever recovered from German submarines during the Blockade of Britain? And, their code wheels never examined and revealed by the good folks down at Bletchley Park?

They'll tell you that "...you made a change in your plan mid-month" or some such, and there'll be a "prorated" adjustment made. Then, try to get an explanation of exactly what "prorated" means in their lexicon....on and on and on.

Then, lo!, if a "credit" is reluctantly and belatedly granted, it's because Verizon, or any of 'em, has had the use of that extra bit of income, multiplied by the thousands upon thousands of their customers with the same question, for whatever length of time they've stalled.

Re: Ughh... bad news

Agree with the comment nearby of Glostermeteor's.

There are two major all-trumping concepts in Asia, "Responsibility" and "Face". All else is secondary.

1. The "filed" flight plan here was not necessarily the "intended" flight plan.

2. Anyone familiar with the Midnight to Eight shift knows the physical and mental conditioning required to stay alert, particularly necessary inside any radar aircraft controlling/surveillance operation.

3. IMHO, this was a hijack with unintended consequences.

4. The Malay and/or Vietnamese en route traffic controllers were not up to European standards. The major flight path deviation/alteration on the radar scopes went unnoticed for an unknown period of time during which the aircraft's IFF or whatever it's called now had been turned off.

So, all of this futile west-of-Perth search effort, based upon those increasingly vital "pings" from the engines has been, and remains a tragic wast of time and expensive facilities.

Methinks the intended destination was an abandoned Brit colonial airfield in Muslim Bangladesh. Dispose of the asphyxiated/dead passengers after a short-field landing after jettisoning unnecessary fuel, remove all passenger cabin fixtures/galleys/etc. Then effect a short field takeoff with vastly reduced weight. Head for another Muslim/Terrorist controlled facility for refitting as an aerial bomb.

The wise and wonderful Aussies are most sensibly having nothing to do with being the sole arbiters of what went wrong and bearing the sole party expected to yield results/opinions. Hence, their wise referral back, right back to the Malay Civil Aviation authorities for the official conclusions. The Malay authorities have the ultimate responsibility here.

There is no shifting away of this to save "face".
