I own an iPad since last June and I type in at about 80% of my speed on a normal keyboard, which is largely sufficient for note typing : there really is no problem with using the virtual keyboard of an iPad, as long as it is in horizontal mode. Oh, and by the way, my job is with using heavily keyboards, as I am a journalist ;)
Well, there is just one thing which is wrong with the iPad (and iPhone with it) : accentuated letters. But as a British/US writer, that is an unknown problem for you...
I had the same "issue" about 3 years ago and did the move without a single hitch. I just moved the whole iTunes data folder from Windows to the correct folder (/user/Music/iTunes) on my Mac. Without any single problem. It was never even an issue for me : how have you been unable to do that ????
Even better : I got from my switch all my Google Earth bookmarks and my whole Firefox and Thunderbird environments (including all my mails, of course).
Maybe you should have stayed on Windows :)
It would be nice to have exactly the same charts for other countries like France, Germany, Spain, US or Japan. Then it would be possible to see if UK had lost some of its manufacturing capabilities or not ;)
Personaly, I do think so : where are the (real) British cars, planes, trains (LOL - don't shoot at the ambulance), etc. ?
