Vote now for the WORST movie EVER

G 4

Really? That's the worst you could find?

I can't, in good conscience, level my mouse pointer at those in anger. Especially when other filmic car crashes have robbed me of my cash, and more importantly those precious hours of my life that I can't get back via a refund. I put forward a few examples.

Hudson Hawk - I like Bruce Willis films, but what guff!

Soft Top,Hard Shoulder - Chris Rea should stick to crap music and stay away from crap cinema

Sucker Punch - skimpy clad girls and sci fi, HOW did they manage to make me hate that normally winning combo?

Isolated human genes can be patented, US court rules

WTF?

GPL for Genes?

If someone take a strand of my DNA, isolates a gene that can then be (now legally, but questionably) patented, I don't see why the whole process can't have been scuppered by me asking them to sign a GPL type license at the point of taking my DNA/blood sample. Wouldn't that be able to cover anything derived from the information therein?

About flipping time!

And a damn shame that the fella will inevitably be silenced, fired, have funding withdrawn or be professionally discredited shortly for not lapping up the "general consensus" opinion that it's all our fault as a species. Once we can predict with any accuracy a decent summer, or even manage to guarantee that I can hang my washing out next weekend beacuse it'll be a lovely day with a slight breeze, then maybe I'll believe the idiots that think they can predict the next decades temperature increases based on last weeks weather observations (and squish any anomalous data points that don't fit the model, whilst simultaneously discovering that the main offender is carbon released due to me being too lazy to wash dishes and using a dishwasher).

Drink beer not fizzy pop for pity's sake, say boffins

Poor show El Reg!

Having carefully prepared my case for removal of the generic Fizzy Pop dispensing dalek of diabetic doom, and immediate instigation of cask ale panacea based distributing apparatus I downloaded the quoted article, specifically looking for the passage:

"moderate beer consumption may help fight osteoporosis, a disease of the skeletal system characterized by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue"

as the lynchpin of my argument. Alas! Nowhere within said article is this passage present.

I blame The Register for having my carefully planned and blueprinted installation rejected. Shoddy journalism!
