When can I retrieve all the legitimate data I have stored? On my lifetime platinum account? that I paid for? Thanks USDOJ, for ruining the accounts of millions of users over your 'information infringement' claims.
Will you be reimbursing Mega's customers the money you have effectively stolen from us? Or does the standard only work one way?
or he has jailbroken it, and is not on ATT.
For once I'm going to stick up for Jobsie and venture that when I buy the iPhone 4 and use it on Manx Telecom, I will not be suffering any of these issues.
However, if I am wrong I will gladly eat humble pie, most probably with a helping of lamenting-wasted-money gravy.
there was never a place for netbooks in the current market, in my opinion. In making these computers ultraportable, all they did was put shitty components into smaller boxes than before, giving users the illusion that the 'magical' technology of teeny tiny computers had arrived. Which is bollocks of course, because every netbook i've ever seen is barely more capable than my parents' 7 year old emac.
To me, It's like advertising a smaller 14inch CRT vs a 20inch HD plasma display, touting portability. Then making it more expensive.
Even with the iPad, I don't really see the point. The geek in me wants one bad, mostly due to shiny factor and 'omg i can read my comics on that' factor, but I really can't justify the purchase, given that i've got a Mac Pro, and a Macbook, AND an iphone. My market is basically covered.
I suppose the iPad does have potential for space constrained users, or older users, or users that don't have any computer already. But again, that price issue is still a bit of a dealbreaker, because i paid £600 for a laptop that has more space, power, capability, and almost as much portability. So where's the angle? What's the point? Is it really a shock that a shiny new gadget is doing better than a piece of shit netbook? Who knows? I certainly don't, and in retrospect this post seems like a little bit of a directionless rant, but sod it, I've gotten this far, and maybe someone can glean a point for me.
havent decent monitors and TVs given beatiful and faithful colour representation to photographers for years? what happened to those? Not to mention every colour can be made with those three.
Maybe my limited understanding of this makes me look stupid, but stuff has always been the right colour on my displays for close to forever.
you paint throwing arse holes. It infuriates me so much that i share an even remotely similar mindset to these hopeless twats. Anyone ever see what the they did to cooking mama? I MEAN FUCKING COOKING MAMA?! El Reg, you must have some contacts somewhere, can we get them taken out? like all swiftly and quietly?
Y'all act like you never seen an open codec before
Jaws all on the floor like Real, like Avi just burst in the door
and started whoopin her ass worse than before
they first were divorce, decoding more efficiently (Ahh!)
It's the return of the... "Ah, wait, no way, you're kidding,
he didn't just say what I think he did, did he?"
And WMA said... nothing you idiots!
WMA's dead, H264's his replacement! (Ha-ha!)
Feminist women love OGG
"chickachickachicka Xiphvid, I'm sick of him
Look at him, walkin around decodin his you-know-what
keyframing the you-know-who," "Yeah, but he's so open though!"
Yeah, I probably got a couple of devs up in my head loose
But no worse, than what's goin on in your licensed codecs
Sometimes, I wanna get on TV and just play files, but can't
cuz my DiVX is limited to licensed styles
"MP3 is on your lips, MP3 is on your lips"
And if I'm lucky, you might just give it a little kiss
And that's the message that we deliver to little kids
And expect them not to know how rubbish DIvX vid is
Of course they gonna know what h264 is
By the time they hit fourth grade
And got the thepiratebay don't they?
... I suspect that folders will have a maximum of nine items. Obviously one cannot be sure, but the keynote said there was a new maximum of sixteen hundred and something apps, up from one hundred eighty which is =/= 9 items per icon. Also it looks like as the icon fills up, it will eventually have nine spots.

I don't fully agree with your statement on the creation of our industry as we know it; While we did have other companies designing chips and software, they were all boring suits who had no sense of market forecast in this division - after all there WAS no digital age then. Look at IBM, they laughed Apple and their ideas out of the boardroom. What Jobs and Woz bought to the industry was accessibility, affordability, and style. They aimed to have these things in the homes of Joe Retard, who is by far the largest consumer base available. So yes they did revolutionize the industry. We still would have had an industry without them, just one left to die by a bunch of fumbling old farts who had no idea.
On a side note, don't be so fecking pedantic, i'm OBVIOUSLY not talking about job responsibility here, I'm talking about the creation of the jobs in the number they are now. You think El Reg would be here without a billion IT geeks around the world to read it?
On a secondary side note, Stallman is awesome, and you can't touch him. That is all.
pricks like S Ballmer beating his chest, and S Jobs stroking his cock and saying boom all the time. I can understand that Wozzy has only really done one HUGE thing in his career, but he is still the guy who co-pioneered the industry that is not only responsible for your job, but the jobs of most who read this site.
I don't see the problem with a nice guy finally being involved in an industry. Not to mention by your logic we should make Richard Stallman irrelevant too, because all he did was invent gnu and whine about freedom for a few years. He's still a fucking legend no matter what.
