Adding default opt-ins to software is one of the most common practices among vendors, especially where "freeware" is concerned. How do you think the bills get paid? When end users download or install software it is their responsibility, and a simple one at that, to watch what they are doing. New applications weather from the Internet, a cd or dvd should always be inspected or scanned for malware prior to installation, regardless the source. Just how lazy and irresponsible are folks becoming that they cannot watch what they are doing even when it may involve great pain and effort such as opening their eyes or clicking a mouse button or two. These whiners need to wake up and smell the reality.

Here is my question. What is UNCLE SAM doing spending our hard-earned tax dollars on non-US gear? Especially for something as important and sensitive as the Drone/UAV programs? The person or persons responsible for this asinine screw-up should be drawn and quartered in hell. Not only is such an act insecure, it is completely irresponsible and liken to treason. And as for the violating such a public trust, I would have thought UNCLE SAM would have learned something from the fiasco involving the purchase on non-US manufactured military vehicles a few short decades ago.

We are NOT a democracy.
(democracy doesn't work ok)
Why is it that so many folks mistakenly refer to the U.S. as a "democracy"? The U.S. is a Republic and guarantees every state a republican form of government as spelled out in Article 3 section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. I fact, I understand the word "democracy" is not even mentioned in the Constitution.
In fact, in a democracy "mob" rules. If even the slightest majority were to vote into law that everyone should stop what they are doing several time a day, face Mecca and give praise to Allah, that would be law and of course with law comes consequences for failing to obey, in this case religious persecution. We may even return to such things as burning or drowning persons accused of witch craft or banishing persons accused of adultery or pre-marital sex. Need more be said?
While I too am guilty of ignorance and no doubt speaking from ignorance at times, I believe we should all strive to do our homework before trying to effect an authoritative change. What I consider a good point in case is a spoof once carried out by Pen and Teller. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzLs60ZaNW4 or
