Second he did not ruin Nokia he along with the board of directors decided that their strategy at the time for the phone business only.... was a dead end and decided to go the windows route rather than be just another Android phone maker.
And thirdly, you call Bing a good bit ? it along with xbox have cost MS billions with until now on xbox one no real chance of making money.
Many enterprises could now look at BB as an alternative phone system, they would get the benifit of being able to have part of the phone for work only and the security features of BB plus allow workers to do other hings safely.
No need to lock yourself into Apple or Windows and no need to be open on Android, this could actually save BB as they could market the OS on phones, tablets etc etc.

You mean like when MS demanded that any PC maker had to pay the licence on every PC they made even if it didn't have DOS / Windows on it if they wanted to use it ?

Oh and Google arn't getting "my money" they are getting money from companies who I can choose to buy from or not. TBH most of the stuff complained about is free on Google like maps but being complained about by people who want to charge me for the same info.
More likely an attempt to get the West's tech companies to bring in their latest tech. Then they will shut the place by sending in the army to kick out everyone without the chance to take anything with them,.
A cheap way to get modern factories with latest tech etc that they are banned from buying themselves.....
You have 2 chaoices, don' use it or supply false info, after all they can hardly check your real name etc. or cor heres a radical idea, sign up a new gmail/google+ account and use that. I bet you use different signins for various sites and may even (gasp) have more than one sign in on some of them for trolling purposes.....
Me I have no problem with this or anything else Google are doing with my login, but then I'm not paranoid enough to think they are that interested in me as an individual.
We have had chips in things like tv's cars, washing machines etc for years. They all work very nicely thankyou, What is the point of my vacuum cleaner being able to talk to my fridge ?
They have been trying to do the fridge ordering stuff as you use it for ages as well. Look how popular that is.
"Internet of things" is another thing like ultrabooks, an idea to sale lots of stuff desperately looking for a market. Its up there with the creepy idea of an iphone knowing your heading home and switching on the lights.
I want it as much as an arm based surface tablet as my only device larger than a phone......
Lack of SD Slot and fixed battery have not worried the best selling phones of the past few years......yeh the iPhone. As for me I don't need the slot as I stream my music using the phones data connection.
If they are a must have for you then Samsung didn't listen to you, they have had them for ages same as others....
As to the processors they have the dual benifit of being able to handle HD video and stream it to a tv or play high detail graphics in games etc etc
Maybe what you need is a 2 - 3 year old Samsung for £40 to be happy.
As I am almost deaf in one ear I will need to be able to have a longer lead available as a free option the same as those with little or no sight in the right eye or we will not be getting one and Google will undoubtedly be sued by some American over it.....

And lets all be honest in 12 months Apple will sale more units for less market share in a bigger market.
In the few years after who knows, they may well sale less but have something new storming up the must have shiny shiny chrts.

Sorry the CPR is not faster yet as apps etc are not written for it so must be converted from 32bit so most likely are the same speed, as to the battery read again your commen......"and the battery life is unchanged" plus "a bigger battery to make it faster without actually looking at making it more efficient" what ? so a bigger battery added not to make it more efficient or last longer ? ? ?

So they link to their own online offers first, well wow, what do you expect ? a link to Bing maps etc with their own at the bottom ?
Its simple to me, Google maps does what I want or I try another map, same as other searches, if I am looking to buy online I don't just look at google shopping, I check other sites etc. Google are so big because they are good enougth for the vast majority. As to being search engine of choice on phones etc, thats not Google thats the phone manufacturers doing it, why? because its what buyers want. Even iPhone and Windows phone owners want Google maps, search etc....
Its the sort of hardware showcased by Google as the optimal for working with their OS and online facilities such as Docs.
It is not a competitor to Samsung etc, it is also not trying to gain customers for big profits. Just count yourself lucky they even do this phone at the price in numbers for the general public like us and not just developers on Google Play.
Yeh but they are not functions. TBH I have never missed the removable battery, I just put it on a wireless charger at work and in a dock at home. As for SD slot again never missed it, its what data connection is for, oh you want your media on holiday ? buy a £50 chinese tablet off ebay with the slot and there you are, it won't matter as much if it is stolen.
So what you going to do ? buy a poorer spec phone or spend nearly twice as much for same spec ie S4 ?
Never had a problem on 3 with mine and I drove from Bath to Clacton and used it to stream music the whole way without a single drop.
Have never had a problem with phone calls either even in doors except in Tesco's and that happens with my Vodafon phone as well.
As to the glass back I will be glad when it goes as I have had to have the phone in a case because it slides of my desk etc otherwise even when they look level.

What OS is a copy of what other OS ?
Linux is a unix clone not origional that has had open source developement and comes on many different forms.
QNX the basis of BB10 is an original OS developed for real time applications.
So your wron at the start, as for Ubuntu for phones what a waste, hardly any apps now or ever and all the restrictions of linux already ie no Netflix etc due to DRM.......
Expansys has the Z10 for £255 delivered, makes it a tempting alternative to an android phone except that the Nexus 5 at around the same price will stop me buying one. Sorry BB but you were just too slow getting this OS out the door, if it had come out 18 months ago you would most likely still be a strong number 3 and pushing at number 2 if you could get into developing markets.
Now however............
With any luck MS will tell Apple where to stick their agreement not to go after each other on patents etc and demand the same from them as they have from Android device makers. Just think how many billions that would bring in for a start.
We could then see them wipe each other out with bans on devices etc.......

What do I want ? I would take a surface 2 with keboard cover for £300-400 instead of a converteble laptop, but then again I would buy a laptop anyway for the gigger screen.
I'm afraid the surface is looking for a market thats not there.
Enterprise IMHO would only look if they were at least 17 inch and lightish with docks etc for the same price range as a laptop they already buy. No point otherwise.....
The future is for as far as I can see Apple for those who love their kit and android for the rest.
After all I could buy a Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 (if rumured price right) for the same as one of these......
Iwonder if MS will stop production of its suface 2's (the RT version) an leave Nokia to cover the consumer market with their Slate Pro being the aimed at the enterprise market.
It would make more sense than MS tryig to do it alone, to be honest Iwould rather buy a Nokia Lumia RT tablet than a MS one.....
Facebook have no power as you put it, they can easily be banned, have their taxes redone, have laws enacted on them etc etc.
And just so you think about it, it would not be a goevernment policy to do it but a multi party one.
Facebook need tobe careful or they could end up facing the EU and not just the UK over this sort of thing then it would be not goevernments but commitees after them.....

Hardware can have patents for 5-10 years dependant on what type of patant it is. ie standards patants 10 years and others 5 years.
Design patants banned and copyright used instead
Software only copyrightable again and then only what is not open....
This would leave Apple et al with a bunch of patants that are restricted to hardware innovation and copyrigts on design etc.
Would free up a lot of court time to clear the backlog of people waiting for trial plus cut costs re lawyers fees etc. On top of that a design is easy to proove as new or prior art.
Ah well dream on. Apple would be the last to accept this and would fight it in the court again...

I don't want Linux or need it, I want a simple just works approach to my desktop / laptop life. Thats why I have Windows on the PC (8.1) and a chromebook for the laptop. I have never felt the need to use Linux and the one time I looked at Ubuntu it didn't like my graphics card and expected me to search the web for something to us as a driver rather thsn just installing it or be on the CD that came with it. I spend enough time at work faffing round with computers without starting again when I get home.
Got home, started desktop, tethered nexus 5 phone with three SIM, started download, took dogs for a long walk, popped into shop on way home, about 2 hours after I left returned and download complete and going throught checks etc, 2 and a half hours after start was rebooted and up and running, seems a bit quicker etc, still need to test things but was painless over mobile broadband to update.
Spent rest of evening watching Netflix via tethered phone. Thanks 3 for the unlimited data at good speeds so I don't have to pay £30 a month for landline and broadband......
Set a date where an adaptor is no longer allowed on new products so that Apple and all others must incoperate a micro USB for charging in any new kit but not need to on kit released up till then. Failure to do so will mean they can't sale anywhere in Europe. That wil serve them right for going to lightning and causing problems for those with older docks etc.
Secondly can we please have a standard for if the narrow side is to the front or to the back of all kit and then say a coloured spot or USB symbol or something showing which side cable is to the front. I have 2 phones and they are different......
Have a tv and a blu-ray with miracast built in.
I use the Nexus 4 phone to watch Netflix, iplayer etc etc on the tv using miracast, and with the $10 miracast dongle (google it) this will be an option for even more in the furture.
I see the tv as either linear for watch live shows like the news, Doctor Who etc or as a screen to display content from my phone that I stream from many sources.
