Its easy, turn off your pc most of the time and use a chromebook or chromebox. Only use the PC for when you must have that windows only piece of software.
I started this last year and the pc is turned on at most once a week for a short time, the rest of the time my chromebook does it all for me.
Oh and the speed to turn on a chrome device against a windows one let alone the wait for the windows machine to shut down AND stop accessing the hard drive as part of the shutdown routine.
Also pay an extra £5-10 a month if I was given access to the complete BBC library of tv and rado content to stream.
Just rewatching all the old stuff would mean no Netflix or Amazon prime needed for many years. add to that the radio streams and I wouldn't need audio books or podcasts so much either.
Giving the Beeb permission to stream their archive content would give them many millions a year and increase it to billions if they could stream it world wide.

I have read that Apple have up to 50% of the smartphone market in the US of A. Therefore how are they going to eat the other 50% ofthe market ?
As for outside the US then Apple have much lower market share. Add to that just having the same stuff built into your credit/debit card then even more reason not to use the phone for it.

You start your post saying hes right and attack the ability to have the colour you want on the back and even real leather if you want, also the trim on the phone and screen surround as you want and say its junk ? Its installed during manufacture and built into the phone not a 10p ebay clip on cover that many stick on their £500 mobile.
Then you say its like going back to a limited colour scheme etc, like the iPhone....

WTF just how much design has gone into the iPhone since the first version ? Pretty much zero on the outside, it looks the same to me and with the exception of the 5c has a very limited number of options.
Oh and anyone who puts their phone in a case/cover etc must had it back immediately.
On top of that I still think WTF every time I see the pastel colours on iOS, can't wait to see how much they don't bother designing a working UI on the Watch and just use the BUTTON on the side.....
My thinking is that if the US enact this type of thing as law then they are saying that they are more than happy for any other country to do the same to them.
Therefore all those countries they claim are conducting cyber attacks just need a court in their own country to ok it and its no longer an attack but a legal search for information......

You don't need them unless you have XP and can't find a copy of 7 to upgrade to.
10 ? the default best option will be a sort of 7 lookalike desktop and spartan is just chrome done by MS.
Save time and money, stick with the current OS unless XP for support or 8/8.1 for better UI and install chrome.
Or better yet buy a chromebook and use that
about this TBH, I use chrome as it syncs with my phones and tablet chromebook and pc perfectly, same reason I use gmail for all my mail accounts, yeh I know but I do nothing Google or anyone else would be interested in and I use IE for banking etc so it never sees any but a couple of sites. If there was a better vpn than Hola (works with andoid phone, tablet, chromebook and chrome browser for US netflix etc) that was also free I would use another browser however chorme is the default forme now.
I wonder if with so much cloud and virtual server useage in enterprise systems they will start to look at the old dumb terminal approach using something more on the lines of a chromebook or simiar in place of the laptop.
Given the choice I for one would rather just have to maintain the server farm and not worry about the devices out there that the user prefers to use, ie a tablet or phablet etc instead of a PC.
No more windows except for some of the servers, lovely....
I am more than happy to have weak encryption as the standard allowed.
But only if it is the standard that is used by all, that includes governments, banks, other businesses, the mitary etc etc.
After all people who demand strong encryption must be hiding something and quite possible breaking the law. So I am willing to have the same standard as used by the government and yourself or that you lower yours down to what you expect me to have.

What the fuck do you mean I have to wait for it till you can be bothered to give it to me. I want to be able to download and install it now.
Windows Update allows me to decide what to install when and Sysadmins have the same rights for all their kit so whats the problem ?
MS you are big enough to be able to manage this as having all your updates / fixes posted the day you complete them. There is no reason I can see for needing to wait up to a month for a security fix.
So WTF is the reason for making me wait ?
Quite simply I don't give a sit if you are throttled downloading illegle content.
Oh yeh I know I know you are downloading hundreds of gigs of linux distros and game demos etc. Do you think I was born yesterday ?
I call bullshit on all heavy P2P users who doownload much more than they upload. The best way to go is to limit speed on P2P during those times most people want to stream legal content etc ie evenings and weekends to maybe 10%.
This would mean I could watch iPlayer content without buffering and HD content on Netflix rather than crap quality just so you can take the piss and download illegaly at speed.
Oh and the get what you pay for comments are unbeleivable, you are downloading illegal content for gods sake not legal content. If it was just legal stuff then overnight or a few gig a month would be enough.
What I want is to have a good enough service to do what I want when I want, ie if playing games great speed and low latency, whatching video streams, HD content if available and so on.

Oh and all those saying stick it in a steel case etc, the point of this and pshones like it are they are thin, you shouldn't need to double the thickness to do what the manufacturer should have designed it to do. I expect my phone with care from me not to scratch the screen when I put it in an empty pocket and to withstand general usage without damage, that includes putting it in the same pocket as the previous version managed to handle for the past year or 2...

My god what a load of crap, yes Apple kit is very well made, nice in the hand and just works, the price while high is affordable but none of that makes it cool. So no I refuse to accept a company that calls itself Coolbrands is even remotely unbiased or knows what its talking about excpet for the few people it deals with directly.
This is a bigger non story than the Apple Watch until it is actually released.......

To be padantic they didn't release anything at all just made announcements. They then stated the release dates for the phones, the watch ? well thats some time "early" next year. so any time in the first 4 months, not a release then.....

What competition ?
iPhone, no choice if you want iOS, either pay a fortune for the latest or a very high price for years old kit.
Windows, MS are so slow with each update on the OS it means there is no competition there and it poushed away even someone like me who really like the OS, but lack of updates and apps were just a killer.
The only real competition for Android is Android, ie different versions from handset makers plus phones from China breaking into the market from the likes of lenovo.
Wow what a waste of money for almost everyone.....
I would think that most people have the xbox connected to the TV that also is connected to Sky, Virgin or Freeview.....
So instead of changing channel on the tv you can now change channel on the xbox......
