Imagine an object on the reddish end of green.
In a bayer chip the filters overlap, just like your eye's response, so it will record say 80%in green and 20% in red.
In the foveon (or a 3chipper) it will show up in the green data only - you could add some of this signal to the red, but you don't know if this object was blue-green, pure green or red-green so you don't know what percentage to add to simulate the leak.
Or perhaps just any developer using the site.

But in this case they sold you swaps as an insurance. eg. Buy this product and you are covered if LIBOR changes and your interest rate goes up. But the same people who sold you the insurance are able to rig the LIBOR rate.

No you RTFA. On ARM there is no choice - the signing process only allows a single key. The HW maker decided if they want that to be a Windows key and so allow Win8 or a user key to allow you to run what you want. But the decision is made at build time by the maker. You could try calling Foxconn and askign for your key to be built into a single tablet ....
On the PC you can have mutliple keys but the OS has to be signed by one of them. So you can buy a key from Microsoft or you can use your own. But if you use your own you can't tell anyone the secret - which the GPLv3 may require you to do.
Not for the official trojan in the official battery - afterall there isn't much you can do to prevent the makers of the keyboard introducing a key logger!
But it does stop another virus infecting the battery in such a way that it gets to run at boot before any windows.OS anti-virus protection. And coincidentally this also protects Linux - if the battery replaced the bios code that is talking to the keyboard before Grub boots there isn't much your virus proof Linux can do about it.

The problem with rare earths is that they are a byproduct of other types of mining, it's not worth opening a mine just for them so it's really luck how much of them you have in your copper/zinc/tin ore - then whether the price is worth extracting it from the waste.

Options:
0, Waffle on about mobile, the cloud and a new computing paradigm but not actually solve any problems
1, Reassemble the team that wrote some specialist CAD/microwave simulation/plant process planning app from the 90s
2, Buy some new $N*10k version and retrain everyone, revalidate all your models in the new SW and redo all the certification
3, Buy lots of spares of that last motherboard that had a parralel port, or a decent PCI bus that can take a card that sits at the right address.
I know which one I would pick.
Cos iPhone is only on version 5 and Android is only version 4, so blackberry 10 will be twice as good.

According to some reports it was the availability zone failing to fail over that took out amazon's own service. It is claimed that the data centre went down too quickly and the availability service relied on the down data centre to inform the others in advance to spin up their copies.
In the middle of the outage some users were complaining that Amazon's service dashboard for their instances claimed that the DC was fully up and running when in fact it was dark.
