Tricky to claim you are an impartial upholder of the law if the political party you belong to calls for a "final solution" to certain groups you might be policing.

I suspect the reason for the ban. The police don't mind being a racist in the police, but if you wear a badge saying so then defence lawyers will get every case against an ethnic suspect thrown out

Of course the same should apply to any member of the police belonging to a religion (except possibly Buddhist/ FSM).

In this case it's difficult to see what more the company could do.

When the system is installed on site the installation tech 'helps' a customer enter their account details, and also entered his own.

Other than having a 2nd installer oversee the first, and another inspector inspecting that inspector....

They could send a message to the customer listing all the accounts but would a non technical customer notice if the tech was at all smart about picking a name?

How do you remotely check your security cameras not from any random IP address?

When it's installed do you specify all the work, travel and distant hotel wifi you will use to check if somebody is breaking in?

Corporate security says that only corporate Windows machines (with bitlocker, secure boot, remote wipe etc) but enabling WSL on those machines is OK because it's just another Microsoft app

Remember logic and corporate security don't always go together. To be fair they are trying to protect the network against idiot salesdroids/managers that would install anything they see advertised in a inflight magazine

Unfortunately the sum of corporate IT of America have ways of detecting if you are running windows on a bitlocked drive, with secure boot and all the layers of corporate security, remote wipe, anti-virus etc

Corporate masters require Outlook or some home made VB app for booking vacation or they only allow corporate supported windows machines on their lan - saves me having to have a separate laptop for 'office stuff'
