Windows 7 Backup gets users' backs up

Time Machine works great

Another vote in favour of Time Machine. Plugged in a new drive, OS X asked if I wanted to use it for backup I said 'Yes" by clicking and then I forgot about it.

OS X just runs it all automatically, if the drive isn't plugged in no problem, if you plug the drive in, no problem. It just works and does great backups with the user needing to know anything.

The copy machine in Redmond is just getting poorer and poorer as the years go by.

Overheating minis Intel ones?

I have the original mini with PowerPC processor. I've had it in stinking hot 46C to 48C summers where the fan will run like crazy but it has never died from overheating and I still have it today. Are these overheating ones Intel CPUs?

I've moved up to a MBP (Intel) after my Mini (PPC) introduction to Mac and OS X so I won't be buying a new one. I've had the MBP nearly 3 years and expect another 2 years life out of it before buying another computer (probably another Mac) and if I get 5 years out of each computer then its a decent dollar cost averaging over each year and a better deal in my mind than my previous 28 years of home built PCs and Dells.

I never thought I'd live to see the day that Apple surpased Microsoft in valuation.

And if any of you were around when IBM ruled the computing landscape and PCs were toys, youll understand when I say all the MS appologists posting on here sound so much like the IBM appologists in it's day defending IBM. History is cyclical and repeats itself. Yes even Apple will follow the cycle and the company that next tops it.

Android on an iPhone? There's an app for that

LETS HOPE THE SLOW ISN'T NORMAL!

God I hope no one else misses the fact that its so slow that it may speak volumes for Android OS in all the phones out there in general!

If the Apple OS on the phone is able to as efficiently run the device with the limited hardware and still give a highly tuned and smooth user interface experience, it shows badly for Android in general as an operating system that is inefficiently designed or programmed or both! And severely lacks any polish or attention to the details that are important to actual users and not tech head number freaks.
