stop calling it ICT
would help - I mean Information Communication Technology? Communication IS information so just call it IT - rather than use a redundant word... virtually nobody but schools call it ICT anyway

but is a whole lot more - 256 levels of touch sensitivity with the built in wacom digitiser and pen?
HDMI out too with out docking station and up to 7 hours battery life (and it does come close to this).
Do I need to mention th 4gb ram and free external dvd writer?
They cost about 550 now so it's a much better deal then this franky one trick pony Dell. I bought one last year and love it.
you are probably breaking the Data Protection Act. It's your fault not Google's. Baic security fail there.
This lawsuit is ridiculous and should get thrown out will all costs awareded to the idiot bringing it. Other fools feel free to join in an pay.
I'll bet only 5% of those have had any controls put on it by their parents.. out of sight out of mind and it allows them to blame someone else for their screwed up little brat.
5 years time they'll be moaning to the Daily Mail about the sick depraved world and why doesn't someone (else) do something
I hope soon everyone will realise Jobs is seriously a underhand dodgy BS and not worship him like they do. He is a ultimate capitalist in the way that if there was money in it he'd screw your dead corpse. Mind you the way business laws are in the US soon enough people will be campainging for his canonisation..
A very good idea. Everyone has something that can be recycled every week and this is a good way to force them. Where I live now we have large bins in the road so you can dump your rubbish anytime the amount of recycling being put out is much less, I'm sure that it is just being dumped.
now I personally think feature wise and usability it is easier and more featured than iOS4. Just needs some decent marketing and its only going to increase it's market share.
The desire is the best phone on the market right now bar none. If you just want to not even use your head at all then the iphone will be your choice but if you want a bit more out of a phone that has pretty much no restrictions you'll do teh sensible thing and shop around most likey ending with an Android device.
in real use that frame will last about 2 months. There is ALOT of stress on the frame of a bike in normal use and I'd hate to be on that when the cable snaps, if you were on a major road that you under a lorry's wheels and dead. At least normal folding bikes don't completely collapse when one part fails..
Nice idea just no way practical I'd say as a cyclist.
Give this a review, about £50 quid more than this acer, has built in wacom tablet with multitouch, comes with USB DVD burner, bigger screen similar power CPU/RAM/HD but added ATi 4550 mobile graphics so will even play Left 4 Dead!
I have one, sweet machine, and no I don't work for HP...
"This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases."
Well it's not actually the same problem on all wireless phones, it's the iphone aerial in the metal band at fault and their design of this. How you hold an handset will make a difference yes but a normal handset a case won't help at all. The issue is pretty much a sort of shorting out of the wireless signal when flesh bridges one of the gaps between the band sections. One fix a freind has done is putting some scotch tape up the side of the phone to insulate & break the circuit.
Sorry steve it IS an design flaw.
it will create an idetifiable 'signature' thats without a doubt but a signature done with your figer should NEVER be matched up to one done with a pen or stylus - Surely the way your fingers move when writing is completely different from using your finger. I suspect this would add way too much leaway into any verification when one was compared to the other.
I think not, if this oversized itouch was priced agressivley it would have an entry level price similar to a netbook not at least 150-200 quid more.
It is agressive compared to all other Apple overpriced products yes but not in the whole market.
You could consider it premium like a name brand sports car (BMW Z3 for example). Its a shame that if apple made a Z3 like they make the ipad it would be lovely to sit in, have a great ride but no steering wheel so you couldn't DRIVE it.
the garphics are terrible, the response from the board is erractic to say the least. This is a tragedy in game making more frustration than fun and still not worth the bargain basement prices you can get it for? 80% you are having a laugh - 40% is more like it.
AVOID like a shitty stick. Seriously just don't buy this tosh.
Why did you do this review reg? Someone throw you a freebie or did the reviewer owe some marketing muppet a favour?
First in the article you say it has no flash support. TRY USING IE on it as that has native flash support that works very well like ALL WM 6.5 phones.
oh and "as it's a difficult procedure to upgrade Windows Mobile phones" RUBBISH!
connect to PC, run update file. Done. Ooooh that was hard. Official update are available from operators or you can get HTC ones direct. Mind you the guys at Xda developers cook some mighty fine roms.
and finally Brimful you are talking out of your arse as 6.5 is actually quite good and beats the arse of Symbian without breaking a sweat.
