Essentially the far source is theoretically extended but we only see the concentrated 'quasar bit'; the red shift of the farther object is the same for all the 'lensed' light, just the distances travelled are different due to the geometry of the lensing.

One would assume that a Facebook user would need formally to Friend any such found contacts, and for that Friend to accept for those data to be be retained by Facebook.

However one does also wonder how the ‘People you may know’ function works as some offerings do seem to be uncanny and unconnected to any direct links on Facebook itself. But then they do have clever algorithms that maybe can use allowed data creatively.

The only think I see of any use with any of this is saving energy by having better control of your heating when you're in, or about to be. The rest is just a solution looking for a problem which isn't there. Just imagine having to do things! We are all going to end up like on WALL-E!

On a side note I'm always surprised how many people use their work email for private communication, mixing it all together. There are plenty of free online email accounts that people can use, not even if they have anything to hide, just to keep work and play separate.
