Vodaphone won't even pay the tax bill they have now. So how do our tax master plan to get Vodaphone and their like to pay more.
Shame on Vodaphone, BHS and all those other Tax avoiding scum.

I would imagine a few governments are seeding malware loaded deliverables just to see who is reading what they shouldn't be reading.
If Paypal has frozen Julian's account does that mean that he won't get the money I sent him and judging by the fact that I haven't seen any refund neither will I.
Eh the fight on terrorism always seems to make money for the MAN. Funny that...
no point in being anon as they have my Paypal details. So will Paypal protect my privacy?
Oh black helicoptor......................Guess not
That data policy is there to protect their customers. Which is a legal requirement in this Country. They just never bothered enforcing it before.
I don't really see how that can be construed as a benevolent BT protecting their gentle customers. They never bothered before... but I guess now its in the news with fines from the ICO to follow they have decided to obey their own rules rather than just pay them lip service
I take it you work for BT PR perhaps?
The only adequately protected people here, appears to be the Rights Holders.
If the ACS:LAW proved anything it was that as consumers we have no protection from over-zealous, ambulance chasing solicitors.
I think the title here was a bit misleading here. BT hasn't shielded anyone customers or not. To use their words… 'Our door remains open to Ministry of Sound and any other rights holder who wants to enforce their rights'
Where is the shield in that? Somebody sack the headline writer. I guess so close to home time somebody didn't read the article the whole way through.
Well if they steal from my economy they I am going to do the same to you.
Now if we could find a similar setup with the Movie/Music/IP producers (It has to be there) then that would re-open the whole debate about who is actually stealing from who...
We want to know...
If Sovereignty is the ability to implement laws without any consideration of your electorate's wishes or needs.... then yes I would happily kiss it goodbye.
Seemingly Europe or The EU has done more to defend the UK Electorate (and as this example shows our Businesses) than our own Government have.
cut its prices (helping small businesses) and increasing their productivity. Or at least try and cut the turn around time on their support tickets.
nah didn't think so...
I guess with the Irish credit crunch all the government subsidies are being cut so time to take all our highly skilled jobs somewhere cheaper...
Only costs £28.00 per year. Value in anybodies pocket!
Ensure all TAX inspectors receive a free copy and that will tell you who has avoided billions in Tax. And I sure after all that they would be plenty of change left over from £900m.
I wonder who they are going to hire to investigate these Tax avoidance schemes. Oh yes that right the same tax experts and crooks that are using them. So how will that work. Use our TAX Service and we will ensure you NEVER get investigated!
Good old Tories……
The cynic in me says the Taliban was just a 'flare' to raise some interest in this 'flagging' franchise..
See what I done there.
No word on what Anti-Copy Protection EA has put in place or how many times you will have to re-install your OS to get it to run!
Don't think I'll bother
These low skill operators out there all have at least one degree and about 10 MS, IBM and SAP qualifications to boot.
I worked with a lady from India that spend 6 months in this country away from her young family just to learn our systems. That is a level of commitment which I have never seen in the UK. Lucky for us she was a exception. I don't think the indians would listen to the 'I have to leave early to pick up the kids' story too often.
Thank god for us most of the stories are bad or else we would all be flipping burgers in McD's
My daughter is off to see Alvin and Chipmunks with her friends. She is sooo excited.
I told her to pay attention to the Ian (David Cross) he works as a record producer and give a very true to life account of how Record Companies/Producers screw money out of their artists.
That's what the movie/music business is really like and why it is acceptable to steal their stuff because when you steal something that has already been stolen it's not really stealing.
Bit of a RIAA own goal. The whole point in this exercise is to teach kids that the movie business is a caring sharing industry that you shouldn't steal from but as I said before it's not really stealing.
More likely is Bonio will set up a not-for-profit pressure group which will market itself as a charity and take charity contributions before spending all the money on Jets, expensive presents and avoiding taxes.
While bringing pressure on ???? who was he supposed to bring pressure on. Ah that's right people that avoid tax... like HIM.
BONO I'm disgusted by you. ex-U2 fan
Unpopular comment coming up.......
I like the 3 strikes. If I had a choice between receiving a blackmail letter from ACS:LAW and their like or getting a warning letter to stop what I am doing, I would much rather the warning letter.
There would have to be safeguards around the process like how long your warning lasts before you get a second warning. 3 warnings over a year would be perfectly acceptable. How long the warnings are recorded would be a consideration as well.
Faced with that or the ambulance chasing solicitors. I know who I would much rather face off to.
If the 3 strikes law is thrown out that just leaves the ACS: Laws to fill the vacuum left by lack of the policy. And that is one bunch of clowns I would much rather avoid.
I don't have the moral high ground as I have been known to 'dip my wick' occasionally but the time should fit the crime and €5000's fines are not that. Especially when the bulk of the money goes to the blood sucking leeches ACS.
But considering the amount of children beaten to death in the UK and other countries every year by their parents then we need to have safe guards for those children that cannot rely on their parents because their parents are Fuckwits unable to read never mind teach their children to use a computer properly.
My kids can use a computer just as cynically as any adult but I do worry about some of their friends that regularly meet Johnny Depp on-line. They have the pictures to prove it.
Maybe they work for BMW.
You know that employee that really knows how to make their employee's feel valued. So valued they walked up and down the production line key'ing cars when they sacked them all with one days notice.
Or could it be somebody that works for mercedes-benz that caring company that gets all their cars built in South Africa.
Or maybe just some twat that doesn't fink before they do somefink!!
So how will this affect all the users with Secure FTP's and VPN TUNNELS?
I was sure they rolled this out ages ago. My transmission speed through a VPN varies greatly depending on what time I connect.
As for torrent.... that is so 90's and well past its use by date. Nice to see no Virgin customers ended up on ACS:LAW's list so they can't be all bad. SKY/PLUSNet I wouldn't be jumping ship to them if you want good download speeds. Could be a poison chalice
Threaded email is a nightmare.
When you receive a business email you don't immediately respond to the email. You think I'll check this answer before I respond.
So you go away and check the answer. Then you receive more emails, 'CC' emails 'BCC' emails from others saying are you going to answer that email. All the emails are threaded together so end up with a concertina of emails and you left wondering which is the correct email from the correct person to respond to.
The amount of emails that get lost, disappear or just get forgotten because they are folded up with other emails.
Hope this helps. I used to like Googlemail before we went corporate with it. This change will help.
Who gives a $hit. They had their chance and destroyed everything that was any good about our Country. Sold it to the higest bidder.
I would like to see more on the news about ACS:LAW but the national News at 10 don't seemed to have noticed that particular story.
that is ACS:LAW and their relationship with our ISP's and the courts according some sources.
I'll bet a few ISP are wringing their hands as well. It will be interesting to see when everything has been read and analysed who really is fighting our corner and who is stiffing us.
involving in Council Employee’s expenses I'm surprised they noticed the money missing.
This can't be the first time this happened... just the first time somebody has had the balls to admit it.
EPIC Fail with our money but rest assured nobody senior will lose their job over this.
100K = 10 lowly paid council workers or one executive. Who do you think will lose their job because of this incompetence?
