The first FPS game using the Move tech is SOCOM 4.
Over 35 developers working on titles for the new tech, with nearly 18 months (from E3 '09 - to launch) the quality of the games and the interactions should be brilliant.
Developers have had more time to work on this than they did with the Wii. The processing power and HD resolution should make the games look and feel awesome.
The PS Eye sold pretty poorly, but you can bet the people who do own one already will be getting the new controllers to go with it.
I imagine most of the games will be PSN titles at launch with a few making it to retail (SOCOM 4, Tennis, Golf & maybe even a Sony version of Wii Sports)
Good tech, powerful system & tested playing methods, all in theory give this new controller a very good chance of succeeding. Lets hope Sony market this well.
Looking forward to being shot down for my comments.
wonder if microsoft made their money back, didnt they give rockstar a stupid amount of money to keep it exclusive? i remember reading somewhere is was above $50million. It hasnt even been two years since the lost and damned was released. epic fail by microsoft.
atleast microsoft can still brag that they are getting the call of duty map pack a week earlier... whoop!
I doubt they will, Id really make the most out of it if they did.
Would mean people are able to watch 1080p videos for free (meaning more ripped blu rays) I remember seeing on the online manuals that mk2 was supported back in 07, but was later removed!!
Minis support... great, tetris on the big screen - thanks sony, how about adding more avatars or fixing the trophy sync error first!
I cant see games being brought out on blu-ray, microsoft cant expect everyone to buy a blu ray drive to play the latest games.
For watching movies, this is a good idea, but wont alot of people need new xbox's because of a lack of HDMI??
Could also cause your system to RROD?
first thing Id want to no is why? why stop people storing 'their' data, on 'their' hard drive to use on 'their' console?
if I still had my 360, i wouldnt be happy. doesnt an offical harddrive or memory unit cost the earth aswell?
unlucky to everyone who this affects, just another reason to get a ps3 now boys
So your saying that having a pc + xbox + tv tuner card = cheaper than a ps3?
What an idiot, your saving that a pc (£300), xbox (£170) and tv tuner (£30) total of £500... compared to ps3 (£250) and play tv (£60) total of £310.
£500 set up.... cheaper I dont think so
then you have downtime due to RROD. seems expensive and impractical to me
really? is this really what people want?
Ive never understood the point in watching replays in racing games, nevermind FPS
The only way I would find this entertaining is if your game is always recording and you could hit a couple of buttons to auto save the last 40 seconds or so, after you finish your game you can go back edit a fully 3D replay of e.g. a kill in COD.
You could have a clip following the bullet, then slowly zoom out swinging 90' to see the bullet take your down your target (headshot). Once you have finished editing, upload to e.g youtube, tagging your self and the person you take out in the video.
Would only be something I would do every now and again. Short clips are a good idea, but watching back a full online match 10/15minutes long... Id rather just play another match.
