No it's not, inheritance is receiving somebody's estate. Are you expecting to receive a payout from your parent's employer?
Then again, if you're the type of person that expects inheritance, it's always possible. As far as I'm concerned, inheritance is a "bonus" and should never be relied upon. It's money your parents have earned, and it's up to them what they do with it - just don't plan your life around it.
Funny, the only reference to a Tanuki being skinned alive all refer to PETA & Mario. One would think it would be referred to on the Raccoon Dog article on Wikipedia (it's not even like there have been lots of edits removing controversial information, eg. skinning them alive).

You've got to wonder if the entertainment industry actually want to make money - they'll be earning money from licensing their products with zero overhead (they're not the ones paying for bandwidth). The only reason the contracts are different is that for some reason they believe it makes sense that everyone outside the 51 states pays significantly more.
I very rarely buy DVDs (and most of them are UK films), and gave up on LoveFilm very quickly. A streaming service with a good library would make me reach into my wallet far more often than renting a movie on a whim, and when it arrives realising I'm not in the mood to watch it.

Sure, you could MITM any http traffic over ssl, but it would of course introduce certificate errors for the client. That kind of setup is fine for a corporate environment where you can ensure that every client trusts the certificate, but it's *impossible* to do it for every consumer.

Or possibly spoken like a rightie in a family of lefties. My parents and both my sisters are lefties. They always had the mouse on the left hand side, seeing as I'd never used one I simply used my left hand too. It's not hard (as the late Steve Jobs would say). I still will quite happily use a mouse in my left hand if I need to do a lot of number pad entries. I also use my left hand to type on my smartphone (don't ask me why though)

With no "money trail", it'll be harder to prove wilful infringement as you can now enter some fake details when requesting patents. In the states this probably wouldn't be a bad thing, but at the moment our patent system is at least vaguely sane.
That said, I've spoken to several patent holders in the UK, and none of them could recognise what the hell their own patents do after lawyers have gone over them, so being able to read a patent in now way means that it'll be of any use.
I found a fairly comprehensive list of titles, though I did make sure all the common ones were at the top, separated by a divider. We have a dedicated server and there definitely was an issue. Another piece of insanity is that they insist on using twitter to post updates (and have to split messages over several tweets). You've got a dedicated status page, use it FFS.

No, it should inform users if an app will attempt to access their contacts when it's installed. Clearly this wouldn't have prevented this Skype bug, and it's entirely possible that it could happen on Android seeing as when you install it you give it access to your contacts.
I do however think that the Android security model is vastly superior as it gives me warning if somebody wants to snarf my contacts. If a game tells me it wants access to Fine Location (GPS), Contacts & Internet, then there's no way I'm installing it.

Too bloody right, a colleague got a Vodafone Desire HD when they came out, and it's a dream to use - very little bloat etc. Another colleague bought one on recommendation - unfortunately after Vodafone had enough time to fuck it up - I helped him install a custom ROM so he could have something other than a shiny brick. It works like a dream now.

It took our company 14 months to get money back from them after they continued billing us. It took complaints to Ofcom & Otelo to get it sorted. After the issues was "resolved" then they restarted the cancelled direct debit again. Funnily enough they couldn't provide the mandate to our bank when requested. We very nearly called Thames Valley police in the, however I now have the name, number & email address of a very helpful lady from the chief exec's office.
The only way to deal with them is cancel your direct debit the moment your request a MAC. That way it's them chasing you for money, rather than the other way round.
But how can the network get confused when I dial a 6 digit number which doesn't start with a zero from my landline, Surely a lack of area code should default to the originating area code.
If I dial my home number sans area code from my mobile nothing happens. Likewise, if I dial my mobile number sans prefix the call isn't connected.
Saying that, whenever I dial a local number from a landline, I always add then prefix. No idea why, I don't do it when I'm back in Ireland.

Bull, I spent 2 years* using old edition engineering books. They'd barely changed from the current editions, apart from everything being in imperial, which was actually a bonus, seeing as we used and were examined in both SI and imperial units.

I read that as "Use of Weapons declared best sci-fi film ever made", and was wondering how the hell I missed it. Saying that, maybe it's for the best as I tend to be let down by films made from books that I've enjoyed.

I've perused those matrices fairly well, It's fairly easy to find an IPv6 router, it's just difficult to find one that has a built in ADSL2+ modem too. The ones that did appear to tick all boxes were either out of my price range for a simple trial project, or appeared to be fairly buggy in reviews.

You're unfortunately correct. BT can't be arsed to provide IPv6 for their leased line customers, meanwhile I've signed up to AAISP (already knew about them before this article) and get native IPv6 on my home ADSL connection.
Office - Cisco 3825 (c. £3000) - £1079 pcm - no IPv6
Home - Linksys WRT54g (6 years old, £10 ebay value) - £20 pcm - native IPv6
Something tells me BT have to pull the finger out, but guaranteed they won't bother until the last moment where they'll provide a shit service until they iron out the bugs, and charge their customers a premium to recoup they costs due to their short-term savings.
I've had to flash the WRT54g with OpenWRT, but it performs perfectly as a dual stack router. Unfortunately there don't appear to be any dual stack ADSL Wireless routers available anywhere, so it will be just us geeks for the next while.
I do take slight offence to the "very sad" part though, what's wrong with building up a decent working knowledge of technology that I *will* have to support in the future?
