UK comms regulator rings death knell for fax machines

Modems???

Does the demise of the Fax, also mean the end of modem to modem communication too?

I know/knew a few places too far out for BB and sat comms was impractical.

The only way the remote kit could talk to the mothership was by dial up modems!

But where's the vote catching snappy tagline in that? If it's "new" money and can convince the tory sheep to continue to vote for their elite, you've no chance.

I bought a microwave oven when they sort of first came out in Blighty. I had spent so much money on it, I accepted the extended warranty offer covering the next four years.

Almost a day after the original 12 month guarantee expired, it failed..

It turned out to be a very expensive bit, but was now luckily covered by the extended warranty.

So it turned out to be money well spent, as I bought it in 1986 and I'm still using it!

Nut and Bolts

Don't get me started on metric nuts and bolts!!
