Rubbish app.

I've used it on both ios and android. The android version is pitiful.

Scanning through recorded stations is painful, the slider is poor to react and skips all over the place. Also the ios version when you record a stream also captures the tracks id3 tags so you know what you're listening to and you can even skip between tracks, something the android version still doesn't have and probably never will by the looks of things.

Its been riddled with all kinds of bugs from day one, and has always been painful to use. If they develop it to the level of the ios version then I may consider re-installing it, until then I wont let it pollute my HTC handset.

Re: Basic units fail

Sigh, a user makes a valid point and you pick apart numbers. Does it make his point less valid? Don't think so.

Perhaps with your keen eye for number detail, you could take a job in the national office for statistics. After all I'm sure they are screaming out for someone with your mathematical marvelosity. You'd probably find it a more worthwhile use of your time and who knows, it may even lead to the eventual cure of your inferiority complex.

Re: This all sounds great

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.

"download at super fast speeds"

Which loosely translates to

"reach your bandwidth cap faster than ever before"

I don't see the point in increasing any of these speeds or touting the amazing uses for them when the isp's and telcos seem hell bent on punishing users for actually getting any use out of them.

One great analogy or todays internet I read was "Its like having a formula one racing car but having only 3cm of road to drive it on. You pop it into first gear and you're out of road"

Re: Electric cars...

You might be onto something there. Zero pollution and less obesity. Two birds with one stone and all that.

Re: @ rob44

True I'm sure it is more efficient, but that just means more burnt more efficiently. Which still means a massive increase in pollutant output.

Rob 44

Defeating the object.

I can't understand the hype behind electric cars.

Is it going to save the planet if we all buy them? No, is the simple answer.

While you might not be polluting directly by burning fossil fuels, the power plants to cope with all the extra electricity consumption will have to burn more to keep up with the demand. So its defeating the purpose.

The only way forward is hydrogen powdered cars. Hydrogen is the most abundant material in the universe. (I could be wrong, feel free to correct me on that). The only by product of a hydrogen powered car is water. No extra electricity needs to be generated, and no pollution is produced. The sooner car manafacturers (other than Honda who already have prototypes on the road) realise this, the better.

Actually you're very wrong.

Hide My Ass?

HAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, anyone that thinks that the owners of that site won't roll over and hand over your details to big brother is an idiot and quite frankly deserves to be caught sentenced and fined.

Hide My Ass is fine if you're a schoolboy trying to look at porn in the library, other than that it's so dodgy it's not even funny.

Voice recognition has been around for decades, but the one flaw it's always had is that unless you speak in a slow monotone unaccented way it never ever works. This is why so little of it exists.

It's the reason so many people hate those automated phone lines, the reason secretaries still use dictation machines to write letters etc.

If a desktop PC with the latest CPU etc struggles I hardly think a mobile phone is ever going to be capable of doing it properly for everyone. But as with all apple ideas, its all about the gimmick and sadly people will still blindly like sheep fight tooth and nail for the iPhone. First apple try to act like they invented video calling and now this, its laughable.

Flying 'Motorbike'/Reliant Robin 'to take off next year'

Rob 44

Not gonna happen.

Lets just think about this for a second.

We have something called border controls. You need passports and suchlike to travel from one country to another. So lets say for example Mr Criminal has just robbed a bank nearby dover. All he has to do is find a small stretch of road and take off and pop over to france. No immigration, no security checks, no passport.

Now I know none of these so called flying cars are gonna be taking us from the uk to the usa or something like that. But do you really think governments are just gonna let people fly wherever they want whenever they want ? I don't think so. It's just too risky.

What annoys me....

What annoys me is these whining music and movie companies saying they have lost tons and tons of money. They haven't lost anything, it's just money they haven't made. They talk about it like it's money they are entitled to, regardless of if the product is good or not. "we made this so give us your money"

How long have things like napster, kazaa, bit torrent etc etc etc been around now ? must be at least ten years. If all these companies keep "losing" as much money as they say, then why arent they all bankrupt now ?
