As an indirect employee of Sun - I see on a daily basis how this is affecting the employees of Sun, their customers & the company. There are a lot of very nervous people there. Monty needs to realise that if this deal does not go through then Sun could potentially fold and then where would "his" crusade be ?? Or is he hoping for that to happen so he can pick MySQL out of the ashes,,,,,, What right has he got to interfere !!!!
If we use scanners (which may not work anyway) we may be infringing human rights,,,
But if we don't use them we may be leaving the door open for terrorists,,,,
If we only scan certain people and exclude others (e.g. children, disabled) then the scans will never be truly effective,,,,, So Catch 22 is achieved - We need to scan but can't,,,,
So until we have a more effective & less controversial system that is truly random, we should leave things as they are - after all even security forces state that public vigilence is the most effective tool.
As usual, the Daily Mail types are blaming anyone having fun as being a Pagan !!!
Crop circles = Fun = Must be pagans
Dancing naked in the moonlight = Fun = Pagans again
Now plaiting horses hair ????
Slow news day perhaps or bored Police ?????
Also perhaps they should learn there is a difference between a Pagan and a Witch,,,,,,
If the Euro parliment bought these scanners for their use, presumably they were purchased with the member states tax money ? Then when our governments buy them "on the cheap" -- surely we (the tax payers) will be paying for something twice ???? Typical politician's scam if you ask me !!!
