A word of warning to anyone wanting to buy the 32GB version of the S6 the core OS uses 9GB which leaves you with only 23GB for personal use (see picture in review of 25% storage used). Now people would normally buy a SD card to get round these short comings but Samsung decided to ditch that useful feature along with the removable battery.
Rumour has it Samsung will release an Active version of the S6 in the summer with a removable battery and SD card slot and will be water resistant (another feature missing on the S6). Samsung already has S4 and S5 Active versions available in certain territories if you don't mind waiting.
Clearly Samsung want to appeal to the iPhone crowd. The S6 even features a glass back which even Apple ditched (yes there were a lot of broken back glass panels on iPhone 4/S a few years ago). Samsung have obviously calculated that they will loose some customers but hope to gain some of the trendy iPhone crowd. Time will tell.....
Mobile phones make for really good tracking devices when within range of the a mobile network. So if there was something that was obviously wrong then passengers would be reaching to switch their mobile phones on. If the plane had indeed gone over Thailand then the phones will have attempted to log onto the networks in Thailand. Malaysia Airlines offers a “air-to-ground phone” service in business class that also allows passengers to send email. But such systems can also be switched off too.
As bad as Android is for dragging its heels for updates Microsoft's now defunct Windows Mobile was much worse. The best thing to do was to forget it! Updates were like hens teeth unless you wanted to seek out an unofficial ROM which could be troublesome. Microsoft have learned from the experience with Windows Phone.
Still on the bright side at least Apple has managed to get updates right.
Google need to be a lot firmer with operators and manufacturers.
O2 is obliged to provide a mobile broadband service for indoor reception to at least 98% of the UK population (expected to cover at least 99% when outdoors) and at least 95% of the population of each of the UK nations England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales – by the end of 2017 at the latest.
They can barley meet 3G coverage obligations without Ofcom being on their case! Plus they have the least spectrum so may suffer congestion issues unless they are careful with how they plan their coverage.
The Book Of Jobs says "I'm going to destroy Android, because it's a stolen product. I'm willing to go thermonuclear war on this."
The Holy book says so so rise up fanbois and destroy all Android products especially ones from Samsung and HTC! This is a Holy war. Our glorious leader has commanded it : "I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple's $40 billion [£25bn] in the bank, to right this wrong."
Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson is available at from our Church (the iTunes Store)
No where did I leave my straight jacket lol!
Maybe Mercedes Benz should sue all other car manufactures for infringing their Intellectual Properties. After all Karl Benz is regarded to have invented the car as we know it today.
Apple just want to protect their market share and huge profit margins. Apple have more cash the the USA Treasury Department with $76.4 Billion. Greed is good.
