Personally, I can't wait until one of the members of the Phelps clan dies. That way we can protest _their_ funeral. And then when the Phelps clan takes the protestors to court, they'll have set a precedent for their own demise. >:-D

I have conflicting emotions at the moment. On one hand I'm happy. As I've been wanting a touchpad, but refuse to pay such a high asking price for it. And now that it is discontinued, I imagine the price will drop, sharply, shortly. But, on the other hand, I'm sad, as I'll have to rely entirely on the geek community for new apps and support. Come to think of it, maybe the negative aspect isn't so bad...

It's true. There is something fundamentally wrong with how our law enforcement authorities are chosen. It takes nothing more than a General Educational Development, which is considered less than a high school diploma as a drop out can easily obtain one, to be qualified as a police officer.

Sadly, once enrolled, they are then not even trained nor educated very well within the police academy.

it is almost frightening when you realize that those that did the bullying in junior high and high school are now the ones assigned to protect us.

I have to wonder which party is more stupid. The shop lifting couple for going on a national TV show and bragging about what they have done or the US Police force for taking a further year of investigation before they were able to arrest them, even though they already had Video evidence AND a confession to the crimes!

So one would need to be 17+ years old to download an apple dictionary app that has "vulgar" words, yet anyone with $5 can go into a book store and buy a real dictionary regardless of their age? Honestly now... am I missing something? Is this a joke? Are there hidden cameras around?
