Except it would need to be some other animal, presumably, as the gent would have no interest in that either, unless he'd been assured it was a goat.

Thinking back to anti-shoplifting devices that are embedded in (or glued onto) items, often they are deactivated by placing them within a strong electro-magnetic field, which I understand damages the antenna coil by producing so much heat it melts. Is this an option to deactivate the RFID and leave an unsmart passport?

I tend to find that when I'm watching TV I have to maintain a direct line of sight, so that the light emitted by the TV can reach my eyes. My eyes would likely be at or near the centre of these "glasses", so this seems a no-brainer.
