At least over in Europe they'll get far less fucknuts suing Google simply for money, because of "mental trauma" or some bloody excuse.
Wouldn't bother me in the slightest if i appeared on a Google street view, it would be a very tiny claim to web fame at the least.

Every so often a Uni annouces some magical memory tech, years away obviously, that goes absolutely NOWHERE!
The big white hope was Keele uni, with their high density memory tech in 2001, that was, according to El Reg, only 2 years away.

I can stream iplayer stuff on the PC and iTouch with perfect quality.
Tried ps3iplayer.com, it maxes out my 2MB connection instantly, total jerkfest.

As stated in an iPlayer blog yesterday, Sony and MS don't want some upstart creating a nice online television service without input from themselves.
Probably because it won't generate them any revenue (in the case of money-grabbing Microsoft), or that i'll make their own efforts look ridiculous (in the case of forever-behind-the-curve Sony).

I'd say its way faster, thanks to the SPE units, which when programmed correctly act better than a multicore processor, and the PS3 has 7 of them as well as the main CPU.

Once programmers get used to multithreaded game code and farming out performance enhancing methods to the SPE's, things are really gonna get interesting.

You'd have to be clinically insane to spend over £100 on a HD-DVD player right now.
With no new content the thing will be a doorstop within months, and then you'll have to clear it out the way for a BluRay/PS3.
