I loved Red Dwarf
But after their last outing I think they should stay lost in space. Why ruin a good memory?

Another feature culled by Sony. Wait for the hacks and cracking of content to grow as a direct result. Some companies never learn. Sony the kings of clawing back features. I wonder what's next to be removed?
What surprises me is idiots applaud being shafted. Sheep with mad cow disease?
The same difficulty a lefty has driving a car or putting on a shirt. Or playing a piano, using a keyboard. Being left handed only means you have a preference to use your left hand. If you have never done something before, it makes no odds which hand you use. The world does not need to be reversed for left handed people.
So by pressing green, it makes it interactive TV. What happened to passive TV viewing? I don't want to have to fish out a remote every time the BBC chooses to show sport. There is no reason for them to it. Teletext was never rammed down peoples throats. You chose to press text when YOU wanted teletext.
Yes, even though it boils down to blackmail, idiots will line up to subscribe. These are the same folk who in 2 years will be singing sky's praises but moaning that the subs are increasing. Well you have justify being a fool.
For the record i HATE Sky and they will NEVER see a penny from me.
It's because of the unique way it's funded, Who gives a fuck when the end user HAS to keep supporting you or go to jail no matter how much you piss them off?
The way the BBC is funded only worked when there was one channel. This Bullshit just proves it.
If time travel was possible you may never see a time traveler. Why? I know that the stealth bomber exists but I've never seen one, same with expensive cars. So If a time traveler came here he would be few and far between to amount to not existing. And how do you know what they would find interesting? Looking up Hitler as boy: Hitler was nothing special as kid, he had done nothing so no historian was watching him. So if a traveler was observing, who would know? Things only become interesting after the fact. Even Jesus' childhood was skipped.
'What it will do is harden Sony's attitude to Linux and any form of future collaboration, and mean even the most innocent of looks, either at Sony's websites or hardware, will mean a prompt visit by Sony lawyers and probably the local plod.'
Exactly. This is why Sony is and will be on many peoples shit list, and why I will never let another Sony product into my house. It's also why they are being hacked to death. . No amount of bullying is going to change public opinion to favour them (Sony). Keep on with the lawyers, it appears to be working great!
RIP
Graf did nothing to aid piracy. He is only interested in Hacking the Hypervisor. FACT. That knowledge may lead to others getting a toe hold to misuse the info. So i your world we should ban all books and texts 'cause you might learn something that can be put to bad use. Why not out law books full stop, to keep Sony & Co safe and the renters/purchasers stupid.
The 'asshat Hotz'. Yes he released the keys, but his firmware would NOT allow piracy. Maybe next time Sony will do a better job of securing them. Threatening people will not stop the thirst for knowledge but will get you hacked till kingdom come.
If I ever discovered something interesting in MY PROPERTY (PS3) then yes I would tell others. I don't recall ever signing a non disclosure agreement, nor do I know of any PS3 who signed such.
If Sony doesn't want people to own what they buy, they should rent the PS3. Also they should try to make people sign in blood that they will only use the item the 'Sony Approved' way, at the point of sale. Just so you know Highlander, I did not buy my PS3, I did not click on any EULA and nobody not even Sony can enforce terms of something that was a gift.
I'm getting the booze in for the party. You are invited.
When you buy a PS3 you buy the whole thing. If Sony thought like you do they would sell you a box with no software on it (like a PC). You would then have to load up the firmware to it, thereby validating any crap in the EULA. What if you buy a console for a child and they begin to use it. What law anywhere is going to enforce said EULA on a minor? As minors cannot enter into contracts. So yes, EULA on the PS3 is hot air. The PSN is theirs and I have NEVER logged on to it, I have no interest in 'social gamming'. Sony do not have my details and never will. They have no right to examine MY PS3, it is MY property and if I choose to examine its inner workings then that is my business. Graf has never had anything to do with piracy. He has nothing to do with the PSN hacking. He is only interested in the Hypervisor. The German police didn't just decide to pick on Graf, Sony put them up to it. The world will be a sad place when you cannot examine your own purchases or in your world, OWN what you buy. Maybe Sony should rent their next console? I see Nintendo's EULA grant themselves the right to 'own' everything that is on the their new handheld. Yes they really believe that all your files are theirs to use in any way they see fit. Guess The BIG N is also on my no buy list. But feel free to welcome them into your life.
I'm glad that it's hurting Sony. I don't agree with stealing people's details or breaking into networks, but if it Hurts Sony then let it continue. Sony's actions made me sick, getting subpoenas to get the details of people who WATCHED a video on the net? Trying to silence people who talk about the PS3? Snooping on the stuff contained on users PS3's and the network they are connected to, hiding behind EULAs. Sony's methods and contempt for the law and people's right to own their own property. painted a target on themselves. Rather than spend money on security, they chose to use fear and lawyers to stop the attacks. You reap what you sow.
Geohotz (USA) published the keys and made custom firmware. Graff (German) made tools to enable use of the Hypervisor under OtherOS or linux. Sony knocked down his front door TWICE, stealing his property. Two completely different people, 2 different continents.
And no, I don't believe the hackers will stop if Sony is destroyed, but I will throw a party. What I'm saying is Sony's behaviour (dawn raids) lit the fuse. Watch the fire works.
Why on earth would anyone want a desktop computer stuffed into a bulky keyboard? Imagine all the wires hanging out of it in use. Just buy/build a PC with a wireless keyboard and run an emulator.
I owned a 64 and this is nothing like it. Please I urge fans not to continue giving companies who rent the name Commodore any cash. The c64 is dead, let it RIP.
You can see the episode on you tube and Engaget. I just watched it and didn't find it a bad reflection on Tesla. In fact Clarkson loved it. It's true that currently all battery powered vehicles suffer from re-fueling problems. It takes an age to charge it (16 hours from a 13amp socket). Plus if you cane it round the track, I bet it would run out of juice sooner rather than later. Tesla just want some free publicity. Sadly it will be of the bad kind.
If you buy something you own it. You don't rent it or have to use it 'the way the manufacturer wants you to.' If I buy a knife and kill someone with it, I don't expect to be sued by Kitchen Devil. Fender did not sue Jimi Hendrix for playing his guitar upside down or for setting it on fire. It was his to do with as he wished. I'm sure there are many videos out there showing these illegal acts. Sony may not be happy, but tough shit, sueing is just stupid. Guess what, I opened my PS3 to see whats inside and I have put custom firmware on it. I'm quaking in my boots waiting for Sony to kick my door down for not using it 'Their Way'. Sony do not own me or MY property.
Note to Sony: This is last Sony product to enter my house, ever.
Why must a game teach you skills in the real world? I shoot aliens with a controller, but I doubt that will stand me in good stead with a real rifle. Same with sport games. . People who think these games should reflect reality need their heads examining. It is a game, a bit of escapism, you know ..fun.
How do you know what Sony will do with the info? 4 months ago nobody would have said Sony would sue anyone. Plus have you read their latest t&ca?
They want you to give them permission to scan your harddrive and anything connected to the PS3 (your home network) for stuff that Sony don't like. Also they will ban/sue you for attaching ANYTHING not Sony approved.
So carry on defending Sony. I just hope hope they turn their sights on you. It's thinking like that that allowed Hitler to dominate.
And if you do a study based on skin colour, and find that white males make greater claims. Would that not be racist? Basing anything on gender to favour or punish a person IS sexist by its very nature. Thanks god we have laws that make that practice illegal.
Shella's wheels are a sexist bunch, good riddance to them for openly discriminating against men.
Women rightly had a case for being paid less for the same work as men. That has been corrected, but it has swung too far in the other direction. I never heard women complain that they were being given cheaper deals for being women. Let's hope they sort out sports next. ie. Wimbledon. Yes the pay is the same, but Women play less sets, so they earn more than the men.
Equality should be equal.
I bet it STILL will bundle your tunes with your audiobooks. Good luck with putting your entire collection on it and asking it to shuffle. A cheap and cheerful Sansa Fuze has the brain power to recognize that you don't want to hear an audiobook chapter as part of you shuffled tunes.
They may sound great, but I'll never buy Cowon again. Crap interface.
When you die you leave your brain and body behind, it either gets buried or burned. So what are the dead meant to think with? If people survived after death, the afterlife would be exactly like this life. Society (ghost world) would be built by the same people who built this one. No body/spirit would have the time to chat to 'mediums'. they'd be too busy with their own lives. And if they could be bothered, I'm sure they would like to pass on more important things than 'they don't like the picture hanging in the hall'.
Well done Mr Brown.
I didn't agree to anything, my console was gift. How will anyone uphold these terms & conditions? What if the console belongs to a 6 year old child? Will Sony and co sue them for breaching the T&C? Children cannot sign legal documents, and i certainly did not sign anything when I was gifted my PS3. You need to take a deep breath and contact reality.
PS. you can chip your car legally so long as you tell your insurance company. Don't let facts get in the way of your ranting.
