Re: Just exactly why is this needed?

It's so the sleazey politicians, etc. can keep all those embargo breaking arms and tech deals to despotic countries off the visible records, of course. It has to be the biggest advantage to British Soveriengty. No one will ever know who has been paying for all the crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis entering Britain since it became popular in the 60's.

I'm sure the CIA, etc will be aware of similar advantages around denial plausibility .... funding stuff ............. guns for dope, etc.

I'll leave it to your imaginations what you can get up to with a crypto currency, mine is too fertile .......

I have a dumb ass TV

It connects to the PC which connects to the Internet, and even this cannot be achieved without Titsups (totally inability to stream usual programmes seamlessly). Maybe it's TV these days, the programmes are almost entirely made of recycled crap, so maybe the inability to stream is part of the shitshow.

Don't mention Firefox, I am fed up havig to close the browser altogether during adverts as after a while ....... the volume icon no loner works, f11 doesn't work, the only button that works is the Windows STOP icon.

It doesn't do this if I watch a film on DVD. Only when I watch TV, especially if I watch a film.

Is GCHQ pissed 'cos I don't NEED to buy a TV licence ?

Is Microshite pissed 'cos I never visit their on-line store ?

Is Google pissed 'cos I am too soddin' poor to buy anything other than food ?

Is it the end of the TV world as we know it ? YEAH ! Thank your lucky stars whilst you can see them, 'cos you'll need a smart TV soon as the night sky will be full of communications satalites beaming down Samsung adverts............

You should see the real stuff being currently fed into the UK court system by employees of other/supplier organisations who's underpaid and overworked employees display very questionable attitudes to data integritty. Sexual biggotry and other personal biases abound.

Poor data sharing is holding back the UK court system's pandemic recovery, says National Audit Office

Al fazed
WTF?

Quality data

I'd imagine that the problem has something to do with the poor quality of the data going into the suppliers pipe line........ to create "proof".

Say, Bob sends in half the data to the outfit handling collating the data before it gets input into the actual court system, then later Bob tops that up with more data plus some amendments suggested by Bob's data handler, which again is later redacted from the original record some time after the data has been submitted to the court system. At another data collection portal of the court system Bob again inputs verbally the original data, or some of it, or the bits he thinks are important, not sure which bits are missing but .............. and that is only a poorly drawn sketch of yer actual data entry story which the UK court system has to deal with ................... before thinking about going digital.

Whatamess !

ALF

Al fazed

Data Integrity hogwash......

Like all information Systems, data integrity is soveriegn. If the data going into the system is not accurate or the data is incomplete, then it doesn't really matter what sort of system you are building, it will still be a bag of shit churning out crap or useless information for the end user.

So today's court systems are full of abuses by legal representatives who cleverly fudge Court Bundles to get their conviction by obfuscating the defendant's evidence, Claimants officers who do not provide truthful witness statements, avoid collecting evidence from the defendant, commit perjury in the witness box, etc.

At the end of the day the UK court system is fucked by corruption, how the heck are you gonna model that..............

In the County Court the judges decision relies on probability and likelihood and NOT on hard evidence, which generally speaking doesn't get a smell in.

If the Claimant cries foul then the defendant is a fucking grouse. Standing naked in the court will not prove that you don't have feathers.........

Bamboozle the behemoth language bulldozer

AI ? ML ?

Sure Microshits have heard of it. They built a GUI around using the START button to switch OFF your grey box, way back before I lost my memory.

They then moved on to enhance Windows performance by demanding Users experience the delights of mouse clicking twice instead of just once in order to STOP the machine - by using the START button.

By Windows 10, we all have to mouse click twice on the desk top screen before the display shows User a login text input field where password can be put in after clicking in the field. After accessing the desktop, User now needs two more clicks to close the delight which is the Edge browser that is getting in the way of doing any work. In fact Windows 10 is so fucking smart it lets me stop working altogether whilst it checks to ask the machine if it's ready for another dose of Windose Update............

Now were are told to upgrade to Windows 11 in order to solve the performance issues that came with Windows 10 update, in order to solve network vulnerabilities that were built into the PRINT spooler around WINDOWS 98.

I am also led to believe that the 8GB RAM fitted in side this box is necessary to make Windows 10 work with the speed of .................well, WINDOWS 10, or maybe a tad faster than WIN 3.1 used to be when running 4k of memory.

I suppose if we beleive everything than Microshitty meerkating spooky persons say when de-velopers have half finished knocking together the next version of their sheeze greater soft where ? The by using their version of AI and ML we are bound to arrive in the fabulous land of unicorn poo and rainbow shards, where hip idiots engage in synchronizzzing the unsyncable and only folks with white skin will be able to log in using parcial farcical recognition algoawayrythms

It's all relative

Firefox has been my browser of choice for decades (if it's been around that long) Unfortnuately I still have to use other browsers when Firefox says no.

I am so used to Firefox saying no to a page it has been saying yes to for ages, and I know that I must dig into the ever changing UI in order to make Firefox work once more with my favourite sites, as it did last time I used it.

SHEESH, it's only 'cos I geek, and yes it still infuriates me when I canna find the configuration in the ever changing Settings UI that will allow me to continue with my choice of reverie, research, entertainment, et al.

As someone already pointed out, normal folks don't even know what make of car they drive, only it's colour and if it's petrol, deisel, or electric. Normal folks do not want to start playing under the hood when they just got dressed up to go out to dinner.

So Firefox is cool for developers, but for the rest of the Internet Users, it's is far too often a bridge too far, one that will never be completed. So why bother ?

Sad days I know, but normal people's eyes still glaze over as soon as I mention anything to do with fixing the problem they are experiencing .........................
