So to add to "you're holding it wrong" we now have "you booked the wrong seat"?
It's not that no-one loses ballpoints, it's that no one cares when they lose a 20p ballpoint. A 50 quid stylus is, unsurprisingly, a little different.
And yes, people do lounge around and watch stuff on tablets. In my experience it's the main things they're used for.
But if the observers are falsifying the problem, for example claiming they've run out of fuel when they haven't, how do you address that? The problem has to be real to be fixable. I'm not saying the Tesla doesn't have problems, just that your "it must be the device, customer is always right" approach is simplistic and inappropriate.
Or did you just come on here to boast about shipping some code?
Basing your sexual technique on porn is like taking tips on driving from James Bond. IMHO good sex is nothing like you see in the vast majority of porn, I'm certainly not interested in having a load of other men involved.
And the first time is supposed to be a bit of a mess!
That changes the entire complexion of it really, to my mind. If this app enables people to run the ad funded versions of apps without the developer getting the ad revenue then fair play to Google. If you don't want ads on apps pay up for the full version, find an alternative or write one yourself.
It's quite straightforward. There's a bug on iPhones that bypasses the lock screen, Apple announced they were working on a fix, the Register thought that this update might include the fix, it doesn't.
Apple are notoriously tight lipped about what's in their updates so the fact the fix isn't mentioned in the press release doesn't mean they haven't fixed it. Bugs that Apple don't like to talk about tend to get silently fixed without mention in the release notes, which is why you need to try the update to find out what's changed.
As a general blogging service I agree, pointless. As a way for people in the public eye to communicate with their "fans" it's excellent. Some independent wrestling promotions in the UK make good use of it to drum up interest for upcoming events, for example.
No, I can come up with plenty of counter arguments thanks. I was merely pointing out that while car leasing is successful that doesn't really bear any relevance on the discussion. If the fact cheese gets eaten negates this argument please feel free to substitute any of the other things that aren't normally leased for the cheese. There are plenty to pick from. Everything except cars really.....
Wow. You are so cool!
I take it all back, my years in the industry are obviously less relevant than yours and I work 9 to 5 so I can't be very good at my job. My experience with Javascript is obviously trumped by the fact you know it's beneath you. I am so, so sorry that I had the temerity to question your post and, worse, to have a different opinion.
Please forgive me jake.
please....
It is telling. It tells that with an open mind there are a fair few excellent features in javascript. Read "JavaScript: The Good Parts". It doesn't sugar the pill, there's quite a bit about the downright stupid features as well, but it makes it clear that with a little discipline it's possible to write things in javascript that are concise, readable and very powerful.
There are a lot of bad programmers. Currently a lot of them are working in javascript. That says nothing about the quality of the language, it just says where the money is.
How out of touch with reality are you? Kinect is a massive failure and compared to the Wii has made absolutely no impression on the general public. Everyone knows what wii tennis is, most people have no idea what Kinect is. The idea that Kinect paddled anyone's arse is ludicrous, it's no more popular than that PS3 lollipop thing. Spend some time on planet earth, xyz....
Shovelware, indicating which platform is the most successful since the PSone.
If Wii U ends up with a catalogue full of shovelware it'll be because it has the largest installed base. The thing you say will be it's downfall will actually be an indicator of it's success.
@Mystic Megabyte: It's called a rhetorical question.
@Steve: it's not easier to back up a device, sell it, buy a new one and restore than it is to slot in a bigger SD card. This discussion isn't really about what's possible, it's about what's convenient. Isn't convenience supposed to be the great thing about Apple devices?
