So she's exceedingly sensitive down below .. so that things happen given the slightest provacation... presumably this becoming hugely disruptive and annoying to her life in itself.

Yet she craves 10 "sessions" a day.. umm. . what for?

BAD news for gamers

Has nobody figured out, that this platform sucks for games? Some are ok.. e.g. driving games that can be fully controlled with tilt, puzzle games, and there are definitely some interesting new game concepts.. but for proper hardcore shooters, trying to jab the right bits of the screen in anger just doesn't work.

The half-arsed attempts to render keys on the capacitive screen are laughable. For starters you lose half your screen realestate on poorly imitating something that is kept separate from the screen for a good reason, you are supposed to be able to hammer the crap out of it!

You can't feel a button rendered on a capacitive touchscreen, and it's not possible to press it. Ergonomically a disaster.

Sure, some developers can make more money developing for iPhone, business schmizzness, but won't somebody think of the children?? Without the ability to release their emotional stress through the physical means of the fire button we'll have a society populated entirely of rapists and high school uzi testers. ARE YOU HAPPY YET JOBS????

@Pete 2

I suppose you're not a big fan of solar powered torches either?

The more (renewable) resources we can tap, the longer we can go before murdering each other over the last few drops of oil. However far away this might be from now, pushing that out even a little bit would be a good thing, right?

Symbian channels iPhone love into Android scrap

@musojon74 "Lets get that kernel optimized"

The Symbian OS kernel was designed from day 1 for embedded applications so will always be more suited to efficient power limited environments than the monolithic Linux, no matter how much they might strip Linux down for Maemo/Android.

It's been the grotesquely inefficient and forever bloating app-engine and UI layers (S60 and UIQ) that have let its performance down. So it's never really had a chance to shine, and it's starting to look like perhaps it never will.

Cyclists give TV chef a Wikikicking

Rob 50

@AC, cyclists pay the same amount for road upkeep as drivers

using centralised (income tax) and localised (council tax) money.

So in fact drivers are freeloading off cyclists, as their vehicles are the ones that actually wear out the roads.

Should they pay Vehicle Excise Duty (I guess what you mean by road tax)? For a near-zero emissions driver-powered vehicle... really?

p.s. I own a car too but...

Don't mean to píss on your nostalgia BBQ but..

was my one *really* the only one that crashed all the time, in really annoying ways?

.. and with a very fragile filesystem (though FFS was leagues better than OFS) so when it did crash you often spent half an hour waiting for a disk check to finish, and random files to come back corrupted?

.. and the botched AGA chipset which was never going to run any high-colour or 3d software quickly (after it had spent half its cycles in chunky-to-planar loops.. ugh.)

sorry to speak wrong of the dead.. I agree with all the upsides, but it weren't all rosy.
