"Where's Windows Phone in all this?"
Bricking handsets and keeping customers away I suspect.

"What? Is a fifty year old woman driver in a Citroen 2CV with a clean license now supposed to pay the same yearly premium as a 17 year-old male with a drink driving conviction and a Subaru Impreza..."
Actually the male will pay more because he is higher risk due to having a higher powered car and a drink driving conviction.
You can measure the risk without asking someone's gender by only looking at factors that will have an impact of their driving such as their claims history, driving convictions, time spent driving, and the type of car. Insurers do this already so there is no need to discriminate based on biology.
In the current situation I as a man (who has a clean license, never made a claim and drive a low powered car) I pay more for insurance than my sister who drives a higher powered motor than me and has been in an accident a few years ago where her old car was written off...
That is the reality and you can't tell me that I am the higher risk driver here.
Dell always puts their prices up every year by about 20% (and relocated their business to Eastern Europe for cheap manufacturing).
Our company has a group account with dell and we still get worse prices year on year, and now they are worse than machines on the Dell domestic website for the same spec.
There is no advantage to dealing with them any more, they used to be competitive but now their machines appear to be lower quality and much more expensive to boot. We are actively looking at what other suppliers can offer us now before dealing with Dell.
Dell sucks and I think their prices will alienate a lot of customers longer term.
The world was supposed to end in the year 2000, last i checked nothing happened and reports of the millennium bug launching nukes turned out to be way off the mark... Then they put it back to 2001 saying that was the REAL millennium, alas nothing happened.
But if anyone wants to have an end of the world party, I'll attend just because we all need a good party.
Paris because, well she'd attend the party.
You are right the apps all the time ask you to allow them to access "everything on your profile they need in order to work"... We are never told what that access is on that accept screen.
If that is our control, then its a poor control as every app, even the virus ridden ones ask that.
" i think you guys arent thinking straight & jumping the gun - why would someone pay 7 mill for a site that in theory cant make money, and if it's format is changed "will die"
think about it? no-one throws 7 mill around for no reason - there's more to this than meets the eye."
Exactly, the real question here is "How much money would the RIAA and MPAA be willing to spend to dismantle the Pirate Bay?" $7 mil is pocket change to get rid of such a defiant thorn in their side.
