Re: I admit it.
There are beancounters that will help you.. for a price.
Anyway, it is a bad idea for small shops.. don't deal with the gov.

They don't block all VPNs, as I can watch iPlayer while I go on vacation back to Spain.
As for charging that much for content.. really not worth it. I would then DEMAND to have the content available after it is broadcasted.. and I mean the minute it is started to broadcast, and to remain some months.
Most telcos know that they aren't really good at telecommunications, and they have outsourced the works on the network and most of the planning, so why not sell the network.
They are also last on customes retention and satisfaction, having also outsourced these services.
They also no longer bill their customers.
My suggestions is that they should just be a brand that resides in bahamas. And, of course, outsource marketing and the directors.
There, closed shop.
And then the directors are still puzzled, how come where sell less each quarter?
If a supermarket stops selling milk as it makes them no money, people will stop buying there.. it is quite simple.
Same with IBM, yes, they will send me a unix box, or a mainframe, but now x86, pcs, and many related technologies are sold by lenovo... etc etc.
It is not about efficiency, as in spain for example they have been pushed with different excuses.
In spain they are used to control if the house/flat is in use, and by how many persons. The sw has been available for years, but was extremely unreliable with analog readers.
Apart from the illegal control aspects, if you rent it and don't declare and pay the required taxes you will be caught.
Microsoft has great technology, but lacks vision.
Just look at windows phone... an unnecessary disgrace. And I tried hard to like windows ce.
Linux is in many ways inferior to windows and in many other ways superior, overall I would say it is inferior to windows server, unless you check the price, then the TCO is inferior, and therefore ppl should use it.
As fo cloud... I see no point in using azure. Why pay more for the same, and, as some commentards point out, have pricing risks?
Refrain from insulting the source of my income.
Also, there are plenty of ways of pointing out deficiencies in Java without using plain lies.
Java on a server, today, is fast, it isn't harder to maintain than other technologies, and IS cross-platform unless you are a moron or needed something very specific.
It is expensive to manufacture in India: too much corruption!! Even worse than china.. and when you have to effectively pay "protection money" "pizzo" "lecgal surcharges" or whatever you want to call it, things get expensive very quickly.
As corruption in India seems to be fixed as soon as we have electric Fusion Power, I don't really think India is a serious contender for China. Maybe smaller countries that can be dominated by big corps are a better target for them.
Well, in some states, if you steal three cakes, the third time you go to prison for life (three strikes law).
Also, a reallyt big portion of those incarcerated have drug related sentences... you know, "war on drugs" that only benefits the prison owners.
In the uk, if you kill somebody while drunk you might not even go to prison, and that is absurd.
The bad test was obviously made to german specs.
Same for Euro X tests.. made for german/french manufacturers,. tests while moving are not difficult today.. yet they resist. Same with NOx.. they refuse to test for them, and I have designed systems that can detect and measure NOx in exhaust for less than 200€.
