I used to work for a company producing school management software (NOT crapita!). One of the things we would always test for when code was delivered from India : "are any dead people in this report".

You'd be surprised how often it would happen :(

Have been in exactly the same situation as you. I'd already withdrawn the funds from Paypal, which gave me a negative balance.

Not able to use Paypal to purchase anything when you have a negative balance, all because somebody is trying to scam me.

Nobody at Paypal or Ebay was able to respond to my queries in less than 7 days. Will not be doing business on Ebay or with Paypal again.

I've been using Comtel/NTL/VM since they fist installed in our city and I've never had a service issue (except when our local cabinet was vandalized).

What annoyed you about it? Was it the simplicity of the purchase, the automatic updates and patches, or the ability to contact friends for easy multiplayer gaming?

Yes, getting emails about your account being locked is annoyed, but that's why we have email filters and rules.

As far as I'm aware there is still a film industry, music industry, game industry.

No need to wait for 'groups' to do the work... you can already compile your own mod_spdy (http://code.google.com/p/mod-spdy/) as I have for Apache 2.2 quite recently. I would expect that it would compile just fine for Apache 2.4 but that's a job for tomorrow :)
