I thought the advantage of being able to use symmetric key exchange was it fundamentally had a lower computational overhead... that and it looked nice and neatly symmetric ;-)

Why are pedestrians, cyclists and motorists referred to in articles/studies like these as if they're entirely different species?
I drove to work today, but tomorrow I'll be cycling down to the station to catch the train into London and then walk from the station... I guess I must be some kind of weird one-off mongrel =P
Hell, if the allowed area is small enough continental drift starts to become a problem with long distance calls ;-)

It's not spelt out in the article or the blog post itself, but in the supporting doc (PDF of letters bouncing back and forward between him and the bank) he does explain why he wasn't willing to sign the second declaration....

Maybe he used some old decks to copy all of that old vinyl onto his laptop (probably a lot easier to carry around) and made a bollocks of the quality? *shrug*
