I get that the extra CPU grunt is being used to decode things, but for NAS type work, surely the key issue is I/O? If the SATA port is also on the USB2 bus, then you're going to have the exact problem as the Raspi...
Fortunately a google away puts the combined disk-to-network speed at ~55-60 MB/s read/write, easily out pacing the Raspi's 3-8 MB/s over its shared USB2 bus.
Looks like a much more appealing proposition when put in this light...

It is not by mistake. It is part of the threatened law. Again, that is not VMs fault. (looks meaningfully at Tory voters). If you've not turned it off from the email, it can be turned off via the ISP dashboard (under my apps->web safe).
I thought the point of a lot of the 4G tech was greater capicity with fewer/same number of base stations?
It struck me as odd in the reg review of 4G tech where it assumed 3G coverage had been relegated to being a poor neighbour. The logical answer is that its just the 4G stuff doing its job from the same base stations. Isn't this why the lower frequencies were being rejigged/auctioned? To allow greater range?
TBF I have 3G turned off most of the time on my aging phone. I like the battery lasting more than a day, and only turn 3G on when im browsing.

The thing about ACLs is(are?) that they are not likely to appear on any consumer grade kit (out of the box) any time soon.

Converging on one set of standard that can be supported directly the the browser makers is a Good Thing.
Open sourcing flash will mean those flash devs spend longer developing for a platform that will become increasingly non-default (users having download plugin, or it is flat out not supported) and see their marketable skills dwindle instead of biting the bullet and moving on. Indeed, perhaps the addition of former flash devs to the standards clamour will improve HTML/javascript/SVG. However, that would require feature requests/alterations to have a better reason than "because flash did it that way"
