Real world not giving you enough anxiety? Try being hunted down by the perfect organism in Alien: Isolation

Awesome game, wish there were more like that

I completely agree that the aesthetics alone makes this game worth playing as it nails the look, sounds and atmosphere of the Alien movie. It's also got great mechanics, plot and gameplay. I found the Working Joes almost as creepy as the alien itself, in fact I think they were a great idea as it allowed the designers to save the alien for the scariest bits. I'm going to do another run-through at some point.

EU aviation wonks give all-electric training aeroplane the green light – but noob pilots only have 50 mins before they have to land it

I have a PPL and the whole part about waiting for the oil temperature to climb is overstated. By the time you do your after starting checks, taxi, do your power checks and wait for traffic it's almost always nice and warm. Only in the dead of winter is there a need to wait, and that's usually pretty minimal, just a couple of extra minutes.

50 minutes of flight time is *extremely* limited, where I fly it takes 15 minutes to get to the training area each way, leaving 20 minutes of battery, I'd want at least 10 minutes reserve, so that leaves 10 minutes of training time, which isn't even worth it. I wouldn't even be able to leave the circuit in this! I'm sure they'll improve this but at the moment it's hard to see any takers.

They should have named the Dragon capsule Trampoline instead!

Given they can't decide what market they fit in

Given M$ can't figure out what market they want to be in, and they keep changing their minds on direction I think the "Waffle House" would be appropriate.

Receiving stolen goods is still a crime.

The people in Iran who bought this laptop have received stolen goods, which is a crime. Why should their identities be protected? I applaud him showing those pictures.

The US can't realistically cut off GPS in Europe

The US military is more reliant on GPS than any other entity, cutting GPS off in a theater would essentially destroy its ability to fight in that theater. Many of the advanced weapons like missiles and fighters use their own intertial guidance systems and wouldn't be effected but slightly lower tech systems like the man on the ground, helicopters, trucks and such are very heavily dependent. If I was the US military I would be more worried about somebody denying the system to me anywhere in the world. The US has much more effective ways to let europe know it's unhappiness than blocking a system that it itself relies on.
