These suggested Authenticators generate a "random" number which is used to gain access to your BattleNet account (can be used to gain access to more than 1 WoW account). Assuming its a "random" number then wouldn't any number work? No, its obviously a algorithm which involves the Authenticators barcode/serial number.
Regarding Auths hacked:
A trojan used on these is no different than using it before these Authenticators came out, if your stupid enough to not have a AV installed and to download/visit dodgy sites (free gold/mounts do NOT exist) then you deserve to get one.
imo.

The program you speak of doesn't work anymore for activiation, and why the hell would you need a program to turn off UAC ? You can do it yourself with 3 clicks of a mouse.

On windows 7 you cannot turn off the UAC just turn it to low, i have tried..seems one of the main changes they did since vista (which it can be turned off).
Also downloading a CD or getting a copy CD is not illegal just supplying the CD-Key is.
So the offical WoW in china has been down for 2 months and you think people stopped playing? China has the highest rating of piracy worldwide if one route gets blocked there will always be another open, VPN tunnels / proxies you name it. You stop them playing on one server and they start up on another (as we know they can get 1-70 in under 2 weeks for just $70!).
Mcafee: updates every day just when you start playing the game you like causing distress.
Symantec: Right-Click uninstall...lol yea right /lockdown computer activated /error flag on startup/shutdown.
Idc if M$ offered free AV with/without WGA i'd rather pay a little for a decent AV like Kaspersky.
