Keap up you lot...
Even I know that you cannot get the Moto F3 any longer. (I've tried!)

This a reasonably sized, plain simple phone with LARGE numbers and a LOUD ring.
If it were available unlocked so I could put my Spanish sim in it when on holiday I might buy it. BUT Vodophone want another £20/30 to unlock it.
As a pensioner that is all getting rather expensive.
Why do they charge so much for OAP style phones anyway?

The Samsung HW-C450 was the previous generation of the sound bar and is virtually out of stock. There is now the Samsung HW-D450 sound bar which would appear to be exactly the same to look at, just that there is no stock available. I have been trying to purchase one since mid March without success. I even rang Samsung, who were totally useless. Someone somewhere must know when and where I can get one, maybe.
Meanwhile I will be examining the soundbar reviews for any sort of help.

I recently succumbed to the Nectar entreaties to install the Nectar tool bar and 'earn' points for searches. Very silly of me.
My normal Google page disappeared leaving me with a vast page of nasty advertising, and the toolbar was now going to Yahoo. I played with it a little, not really thinking, then later I needed to find a local timber merchant (or Wickes or B&Q) for some work I am doing on my room.
I was amazed that following the links from that page led me to a couple of timber merchants in far off NE London, and nothing else! I live in Deptford, SE London!!!
I was really unhappy that Yahoo do not offer a reasonable choice of places and exclude anything I can easily find through Google.
Naturally I trashed all signs of Yahoo, and the Nectar rubbish.
No wonder they are losing out with their stupidly restricted policy.
Fuck 'em.

Not a good ringtone though...

Don't forget to switch to Nederlands and it is about 2/3 of the way into the player.
(In the neuiws section, the first item, john's-phone-bij-bnr)
I still want a simple mobile with a ringtone like a real phone bell not some rubbish noise from america!

How much! Do you KNOW how much you get on the old age pension??? I have a Samsung E1100 which has quite large buttons and cost in PAYG about a tenner.
The only thing that really gets me is that despite Samsung saying you can download ringtones you actually cannot. I hate all the ringtones Samsung give you too. And I have never ever been able to try out any new phones to sample the noises they make - you have to buy the bloody thing first.
I just want a simple, plain, small and light phone with no knobs and bollox. Large high contrast buttons, and a simple ENGLISH ringtone that sounds like a bloody phone.
I cannot find one anywhere.
I'm 61 btw.

Thank you for showing the sad state of el reg's tools. A good squirt of oil (3 in one etc), and a moment or two of fully opening and closing, followed by a wipe down with a rag or a paper wipe will stand them in good stead and keep them working for many more years.
A stitch in time and all that...

I gave the earlier sony reader to t'other half late last year for her birthday. She loves it, it works perfectly for the train-work run, BUT she cannot get modern novels for it. She has had to buy the hardback versions of the last two volumes of 'The Millenium Trilogy' (Steig Larsson). You'd think they could get that together, even at the inflated price of digital books (which we would be happy to pay just to get a digital copy). It's not as thought there is anything much to do is there?

Quote/ The idea is to create a button that parents can download and install on their children's computers: if they then encounter serious trouble online, one click on the button would instantly connect them to police or child protection groups. /unquote.
I'd press it just to see what happens, and I'm 61!

Will any of these headphones work to remove the dreadful noise of thud thud thud produced by modern stereos with those bass boxes? We live in a block of flats and when other occupants start playing that thud thud thud music (prolly drum and bass) it drives me f***ing CRAZY!
