CRB?
I wonder if the firemen had CRB checks before handling their hoses in front of the children?

Im going to be honest here, but Im fed up of intrusion, call it what you like if you work for Phorm its profiling or some other term, but profilers to anyone else who knocks on my door please...
Fuck off
Someone from some shitty rag mag called me up today & after the initial introduction asked me for the date and town of birth, why? because its a security question. Duh.
I for one dont want every corporations servers heaving with data that they fail to manage & of course diddnt answer the question. I wouldnt be honest anyway.
So profiling IMO is shit, I anonamise my browsing sessions & send search engines tons of crap, i go to different cashpoints & draw out random ammounts of cash so I cant be tracked through CC companies & Im not bothered if my mobile is switched off because if someone cant call me its tough shit, It wont stop me breathing.
The sooner firm action is taken on unwanted/unnecessary/illegal data profiling the better
Of making an allegedly 'green' car thats stuffed full of batteries, which just in case anyone's forgotten are made with some of the most toxic chemicals available.
So unless youve been driving around the congestion charge zone in a Range Rover, I cant see why people buy into it. To me the Prius is an environmental disaster waiting to happen when their expired batteries need changing in a few years time.
Im sure it will be wonderful, once youve got over the fact it wont really do anything more than your last PC, Im sure that sales of screen cleaner will go through the roof as we cant wait for that touch screen functionality, Ive no idea how weve managed without it.
& come first of January it will be so last year as Microshaft try to convince us Windows 8 will be 'the next best thing' otherwise known as Windows 7.1.
@ chr0m4t1c - bargain for Snow Leopard, do Apple users have more lead in their pencil as the family pack has five licenses to M$s 3? :D
Sadly, it is never going to happen, not without significant change
This is because the civil service is largely a pack of shiny arsed pen pushers.
Were these glorified administrators in their ever increasingly tall ivory towers be replaced by serving members from our Army, Navy & RAF earning a bit of hard earned shore time then it would all be very different.
“We felt that thoroughly validating the combination of Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2 allowed us to focus on delivering great solutions which would be fully tested and would support the features of Windows Server 2008 R2,”
Which loosly translated means: Weve created yet another abyss into which the customer must take a leap of faith along with a very large cheque.
Thanks for fuck all
Agreed, the networking is a joke, anytime you want to connect to something there a daft quiz, none of which is meaningful & achieves nothing. it couldnt recognise my primary domain controller whilst everything else, Mac Linux, Windows XP & even NT4.0 sees it right away.
Ive no doubt that Steve Ballmer will soon be prancing round the stage, sweating like a drug crazed baboon & shouting mindless crap into the microphone about how amazing it is & 15 year olds in PC Rip Off World will say its wonderful, but then they sell shit like Packard Bell.
I had wished 7 to be a new operating system, no registry, no driver problems, no dependence on stuff thats donkeys years old & an interface for those of us over five years old but its Vista SP2 so bend over, accept the red hot poker up your arse and incessant round of fiddling around to make it do what was so easy in XP.
What a crock of shit.
The only thing comrade Brown can do is fuck around with statistics to try & hide the mess, results are far more important than statistics. But by his own admission hes not very good at maths so no wonder were up shit creek minus a paddle.
As for the so called 'management' of this company, its easy to make decisions like this when everything is working (or as I would declare, most of it works, most of the time) but as pointed out no one is going to hop on a plane from India when a server gets bricked.
Straightforward non processor hogging, no bloat & a pleasure to use & dosnt piss me off on a regular basis.
As for Orifice, the 2000/2003 versions much better, what makes me laugh is the PC users who dont have Microsofts latest bulge & cant open docx files (without a viewer), where as my Mac reads them fine & offers a selection to load the format
I just cant think of any reason why MS dreamt up this broken xml format other than to make Mac users look & feel smug.
The term Richard Cranium or Dickheads springs to mind.
Broadband Accelerator it is most certainly NOT.
The iPlate consists of a filter which removes the interference created by Microwaves and similar electrical equipment, thus allowing an increase in speed due to reduced interference.
For anyone prepared to remove the two screws in their master socket & disconnect the bell wires 3 & 4 (if they havnt done so already) it have a similar effect, albeit to a lesser degree.
Compare the confused mess that Microsoft is to OSx (Im not asking you to embrace or use it, just compare)
One version of OSx, V Christ knows how many version of Windows,
OSx will run on all intel hardware V a question mark if your hardware is older, for example: about half of Intels processors wont be able to permit 7 to run in XP virtual mode.
Just thats enough to convince me my decision to abandon Microsoft was the right one - for me.
Even if Windows 7 was free & I believe I qualify for a gratis copy, Im not going to use it, Ill stick with XP, thank you.
