is that like an affordable defence strategy?
i did read the "sensible alternative course of action", it's neither sensible nor a realistic alternative, just the rantings of an old 'socialist worker' reader.
go and read it again, it's totally flawed, and as i said originally - there is no fucking cash, the armed forces are too big and there's too much admin workers. granted, sending troops to pointless wars doesn't help but it's the cash that counts - and we have none along with a serious debt - so no new military toys for a while - sorry i mean 'defense force' toys....
there's no fucking money!
we can all moan about every section of society and how that devilish government has taken things away from us, moan like big fucking babies, now we can see who has the backbone in society to get their heads down and do some work......
stop trying to find a scapegoat, there simply is no cash left and we are borrowing more than we have, which means we have to pay interest on that - do you get it????
this is a dead economy, it has ceased to exist.
yes he's called mr gavin. mr knobbyballs would be more curious....or mr mozilla.....or mr stylesheet....
are you that desperate to have a dig at them that you criticise his surname? what the hell are you going on about? or are you 12?
yes it doesn't work on xp, get over it, move on like millions of others.
'up to' - what a joke, maybe the daily mail needs to run a piece about this 'up to' garbage and have some of their middle class quotes from enraged vicars in berkshire. i may actually back them because it's a nationwide issue where customers are being sold fluff:
'heres your new car sir, it does up to 120 mph and up to 50mpg'
oh, and someone please just murder that couple from the bt ads so we can see a big funeral - 'BT, bringing the family together'
yes that's right girls, apple have never given a shit about you or what you do with their/your product....just buy it and piss off...wait 3 years and buy another. the total arrogance has always been there, it's just that now more ipods/macs have been sold and there's more muppets to realise about that arrogance.
i'm one of the muppets. that's why i'm on my 5th ipod and 5th mac, but now they're charging silly prices for the entry level mac mini and still expect us to download hd content off itunes instead of putting a blu-ray player in macs....they can sod off and i will be buying my first pc next time.
they do have a point.....apple should leave the imac as a multi coloured delight and not adding blu-ray is a prime example of apple's arrogance - we don't want to download movies from itunes apple! reminds me of when apple 'missed the boat' about cd burning many years ago.
oh and chessytheclown - you have to reboot osx all the time? you're doing something way wrong sunshine, learn a little about the os before blaming it for your errors...
yep, that sums it up. how can this be a serious venture when you need a new tv and those uncomfortable specs to view something that IS NOT 3D - it's a 2 layered effect.
if it was 3D - like the star wars chess holograms, then it would be decent, but in reality, it's just a lenticular image.
golf in '3D' - fuck right off....
it has a pen, 3 USB slots and external DVD burner?! welcome to 2003 jim...
"the ipad does nothing" - you have actually switched it on haven't you? go and read the apple site and you might be surprised and happy with what it can actually do for today's consumers - those in 2010.
"Whereas the Mac has languished in the margins for over 20 years."
have you heard of OSX? or the move to intel? have you actually used a macbook pro?
you do realise that mac sales are rising don't you?
maybe they've realised that the future is in portable devices so that's where most of there effort goes...
"we've got some really great news for you this morning.....the iphone is selling out everywhere....there was a problem with the first batch...we've thrown some people off the roof for this.....the problem is now sorted......here's a free blu-ray disc to watch on your mac.........oh"
are you phreakywebsters and amanfrommars's lovechild?
this story is really funny, loads of new apple users moaning about apple's arrogance - hey, THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS!
go back 300 years to when they didn't bother putting cd burners in macs or look at today when they don't bother with blu-ray....and £649 for a mac mini......total arrogance.....they'll never change.
i'm now on my 5th mac, but pretty much had enough of them.
errr this really is old news, apple have always treated their customers like shite.
i'm a mac user for 15 years and they couldn't give a fuck about me. apple are like the hot girl at school that treated you like shite but you couldn't stop looking at her and following her around......get over it...it's so funny to see all these new apple customers waking up to reality...
do you think they'll fix the iphone? do you think they give a rats arse? was every phone shop sold out of iphones this weekend?
(answers: no, no, yes)
blu-ray looked pretty good but it all comes back to the same 2 points:
- is the whole family going to sit there with jarvis cocker style specs on to watch eastenders in 3d?
- ah yes eastenders. content is king, so 90% of the stuff on tv is not better in 3d anyway. so 3d in the cinema is great but still doesn't work for the living room...
"you self confessedly don't understand"
explain where i said that? i understand the device perfectly well and apples products after my 5th mac and 4th ipod.
i still believe it needs flash on it for a year or so to appeal to jo public. a lot of web browsing still uses flash - i don't like it myself but the public don't know the difference...
yep those direct line/kenco/argos voiceovers are the sign of a man wholikes to be seen as highbrow but will take any skanky pound note.....
i went off fry when he tried to defend the mp expenses row with some line about 'oh, we've all stolen from the stationery cupboard'.....silly, out of touch twat...hope he's reading these comments...
oh, and DAB - love it especially 6music which will be saved, i have no problems with DAB - internet radio over wireless though is a fooking waste of time....
