Its happening and I believe before long Aliibaba and its asian connections will either buy or take over Ebay.

If Whitman gets in Californians can expect huge tax raises every year...just the same way she ran Ebay! Ask any seller about fee raises.
Arnie kept getting votes because he was ineffective and basically did nothing good or bad. This year he really did bad - caving into a 12 billion dollar tax hike on a state that presently has 12 percent unemployment. He should have been hung by his thumbs! The only good idea Whitman has is in cutting our gigantic, wasteful government!
"Although we agree on most things eBay (let’s not continue to argue about the reason for the introduction of Hidden bidders”, let me just say that if eBay said it was for a particular reason, then you can be reasonably sure that it wasn’t),"
Who said that Ebay SAID they were hiding bidder IDs because of second chance offers. My friend, it is you who does not understand.... I think I've picked up a smattering of Ebay knowledge in almost 11 years of constant selling on the site ;-) I'm not arguing about it....I'm simply stating fact!
Shill bidding has been going on since day one. Ebay never pursued it and probably still doesn't even have a way to track it. Why should they? The final value fee is what they're after and the higher the bid the higher their fee. To expect Ebay to police the site for shill bidders is like the fox guarding the henhouse! Hidden bidder ID's were put in place for one reason only....to protect Second Chance offers. It was only after Ebay came out with second chance offers and it erupted into complaints of scam artists using the opportunity to make some easy cash that Ebay finally came out with hidden bidder ID's. Scamming second chance offers (where bidders were contacted and asked if they would want to buy the item in a second chance offer) were so numerous that many sellers were stating right in their listings that there would be no second chance offers and if bidders were offered one it was fake! So, to protect the final value fees Ebay was losing from second chance offers and to stop the uproar over phony second chance offers Ebay came out with hidden bidder IDs.
So, Ebay "looks like a flea market" and "sellers are only noise" just a few things the new CEO told us all last year. Then he went on to take away any protection we had as seller "don't worry, we have your back" and I have yet to be able to get the knife out of it. Recently, the "wise" Mr. Donahoe proclaimed a 15 cent listing day for auctions on April 21! After making it known to one and all that auctions are dead and buyers don't want auctions anymore. Mr. Donahoe, you sure don't mind the flea market atmosphere or the noise when Ebay is in need of ready cash. You know where to go....to auctions!!!!! This hapless man doesn't know WHAT he wants! Face it - he has no REAL business model and trying to keep track of Ebay's present day business model is like trying to find your way out of a maze...one day they want to be the world's largest retailer - the next day they want to liquidate large lots - first they claim auctions are dead and they don't want a flea market atmosphere and then they hold a 15 cent listing day for auctions asking sellers to clean out their basements and attics! Come on now...this type of "management" is as stupid as dirt! The only thing that tops it is a board of directors putting a multi-billion dollar healthy company into the hands of the present management team who have driven the business practically to its knees!
