'TM' in the UK *is* a registered Trademark. The 'R' is non-existent here.
As for 'Mod' I think it makes sense. When they weren't allowed to use Metro anymore they always referred to it as their 'Modern' looking interface - Mod is obviously short for Modern. "Microsoft Office Mod" sounds better spoken than "Microsfot Office Modern"
I hate this kind of comparison chart... Why not add:
Number of Tablet-specific Apps available: Fire: 5,000(?) iPad: 300,000+
Can use 3G data: Fire NO iPad: YES
Sync with iTunes: Fire: NO iPad: YES
Use iCloud to backup and sync: Fire: NO iPad: YES
Has an apple on the back: Fire: NO iPad: YES
Sadly, people will think these comparison charts are the *only* difference between the 2 devices... :/
Now come on, it's not really being slipped in through the back door is it? That implies they shouldn't be there and have somehow managed to bypass Apple's security... Apple discussed it with Google in advance so it's not like they just heard a rumour they were being dropped in iOS6 either. And Apple had to approve the app to get into the AppStore so, again, not really sneaking in...
Yes, I may be a pedant, but the articles written in such a way to make it seem as though Google have pulled one over Apple's eyes.
