Recommendations for private cloud software...

As a sole trader, consultant, working globally with clients who want to see videos and documents that can add up to large file groups, I use three solutions.

Dropbox is useful but have had some issues with links not working. American unfortunately.

Basecamp is a collaboration system that I find works very well and I use some of its features (not all) when I need long term access from a new client or during an extended sales discussion. Some can take years! Again American unfortunately.

wetransfer.com, For short term availability with no (apparent) American connections as it is Dutch company, I recommend wetransfer.com as it just 'does what it says on the tin'. Only one supplier firewall/spam filter had an issue with initial notification email, I dont know why, but other than that all customers are happy to get their information this way.

My One X is 2 months old, i did not see this upgrade coming!

It hangs/crashes in spates - several times in a day then nothing for a few days. Battery will last day on phone use only but putting wifi or bluetooth on drops that and screen brightness needs to be minimum possible.

Worst of all I cannot use it with bluetooth system in my new citroen as the older protocols it has installed are not compatible with those on One X. Mr previous sensation XE worked OK.

Vodafone Gateway v Virgin Media = femto fail

We have the original Vodafone gateway unit which worked fine in itself but was switched off a long time ago. The problem was the ntl/virgin media connection which continually timed out and dropped the calls. This also slowed down our other internet activity. We were caught in the middle; Voda saying their device worked correctly while VM said our internet connection problems disappear when we turned off the Gateway device. I am convinced VM detected the device traffic and slowed it down deliberately so they did not carry Vodafones traffic without them paying for it! The engineers denied it of course. Home femtocell great when it worked but was completely unreliable technology/service.

If you want this android information, or any other information, get onto a web page and find it! With improved facility to keep favourites/bookmarks and sync them across devices, most browsers are much easier to use now when looking at the same site for updated info. DO use the web pages and keep the net open and working to modern standards. DON'T buy into closed access/walled garden systems.
