11 looks horrid
I don't want to but being forced to.
But can I force a 7 UI on it?

As I need a new PC, starting to get the odd component failure, one of the HDDs is failing despite being second newest.
Tempted to get really overblown PC and run Windows in a VM for the few bits of software requiring them.
Needs
Firefox
Thunderbird
Something video edity
Something 3D CAD
chitubox
Just unusable, totally unusable, luckily that PC is locked back to 10 now, and that is bad enough.
I can just read this text I am typing on a 1920x1080 monitor.
7 is easy to use, 10 hard, 11 almost impossible.
Yet I am legal to drive. So not that bad vision, imagine if it was worse, or their issue was more retina than lens.
I charity shopped 2/3rds of my books, used the shelf space for other books to be easier to get to.
I was not going to read them again, so free the space.
Of course hobby based text books started to fill the space.
Got some really nice photo books I just like to pick up and browse.
Will be culling more in future.
But like you TP stays, as do more modern SF authors I like, such as Alastair Reynold or Richard Morgan.
DVDs are well culled, 50% gone, BDs only 10% dumped, games about 25% gone.
A film, some bribes went out and the BluRay was cancelled and only a HD-DVD was done.
Yes I did email them and told them I got the HD-DVD rip off TPB, cpnverted it and played it off the hard drive of my PS3, mentioning I was going to buy the film but could not play it.
TV, FTA channels start the series, then the scum buy the rights and stop me watching, TPB to the rescue.
One series I loved I had pre ordered the DVD before the TPB release was out.
Never seen those episodes on broadcast due to that..
I have really culled my book collection as I was not not going to read them again, but keep the books I reallly want to keep.
WTF is this?
Phone hardware support roll back
Follwing Monday
A new button for start menu is not start menu, roll back again.
Following week, trying again, this time I stop it and say leave at 10.
I can't handle the UI changes. too confusing.
Not everyone is a 12 year old excited for useless changes.
I would be happy with 7 or Mint.
Anything post 7 is a UI disaster and horrific for anyone with aging eyes.
My work PC has twice forced a 11 downgrade and then restore to 10 on me.
I do not have admin rights since the first one, I used to have local admin.
Why is the start button in a stupid place?
I have heard about the musical taskbar icons, that is just not usable for me as i KNOW
File manager 1, Firefox 2, my Dev env 3, and so on up to command prompt.
They cannot move as it would be horrible.
My home PC is really locked down but 7 as it was last rebuilt in 2016, used to be XP prior to that.
Can't be arsed to keep changing it, woud need all new hardware which was good with 7 and over spec for XP.
Only issue is RAM, I want more
Was going OK a few years ago, since the new team took over has basically stalled, key people left, I think there is little chance of it going ahead now.
I would like to be proven right.
But not had that much feedback from someone who left the project around that time, except they needed to get out.
I am happy to leave PC support to the support people, they gave me local admin, that is fine for me, so if anything goes wrong, I can't be blamed.
Last problem was something called edge opening up my email links despite using firefox, even if I deleted edge.
So let them sort it while I had some tea.
Their job to fight windows, mine to write code.
Actually Johnson is an idiot.
Left of centre?, more like centre, would have been centre right a few years ago, changes in British politics have moved me to centre. put it this way I trusted John Major a lot more than Tony Blair. I also think the last chancellor of any note was Ken Clarke. Still not happy with the New Labour grab on pension funds, or their ID card madness.
Johnson does not have a clue, he makes stuff up, he is dangerously useless.
I hold out little hope on any of the major parties, all going after the same imaginary group.
Would like a coalition.with some ouliers involved.
I am running through a few possibilities.
A new IC car is unlikely due to reliability, especially stop start and latest Diesels.
So going to life extend current car until it is 30, or spares not available, as it is last year of manufacture and earl ones still on road, why not?
Then do I give up driving, depends on biology and medical care.
If not would like a mid sized electric, would suit me for my journies, went on holiday last year, local filling station shut but loads ot charging points.
Johnson sacked any sensible ones, now they are pointing at the government saying told you so.
Johnsons achievements
Started the death of the Pound.
Tanked the economy.
Restarted hostilities in Northern Ireland.
Pushed many relocatable workers to work in Ireland or the Netherlands.
Ruined exports for many small businesses.
