More wasting of Public Money

"Such a system will mean providers will need to hire new staff and buy new equipment. ISPA said the government had to ensure it covered the costs with public money."

Excelolent news. This is truly a genius move by Waqui Jaqui. Find soemthing which nobody wants, that no body believes will help catch "terrorists" then throw a ridiculous amount of "public money" at it.

Since this money comes out of our taxes, its fair to say i am paying the government to watch what I do online. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just tell them in, for instance, a court of law, under, say, oath?

So whilst Mr Darling is floundering around liek a beached whale about to be dynamited, trying to save money to dig us out of one of the worst financial crisies of all time, our batshit crazy hoem secratary is throwing "public money" about like it's going out of fashion.

The problem that i see is this: The term "Public Money" is going to cause the same problems you ahve with "Public Parks". Everyone has the incentive to use it too the full, but has no incentive to take good care of it.

So yeah, Save the 2Billion by not bothering with this ridiculous scheme. instead maybe use the existing one which does exactly the same thing, just needs a warrant issuing. like normal legal procedures.

Mine's thaving his public money taken out of his coat.

Protestor Travel Advisory

We ask that all protesters are extra vigilant in their journeys to and from work on these days.

G20 Summit in London - Disruptions expected 28 March - 02 April 2009

Protesters face chaos next week with areas of London in security lockdown for the G20 summit and warnings that bankers will be doing their usual utmost to justify ridiculously overpaid jobs whilst gleefully buggering the economy, and anybody else who they can.

Protesters in the City are being advised to wear 3 piece suits and pink shirts amid fears that they will be forced to run the gauntlet of police denying them a legitimate right to protest.

On 1 April a coalition of overpaid and unethical bankers will travel from commuter belts to four major London stations - Moorgate, Liverpool Street, London Bridge and Cannon Street - potentially obstructing thousands tourists and homeless people, before marching herd-like to their day jobs.

A crack team will target the Stock Exchange attempting to completely devalue any pensions you may have managed to keep away from Gordon Brown’s half arsed ‘fiscal planning’. The ‘Guns not Food’ campaign will march on the US embassy in Grosvenor Square to provide them with a lifetime service award. Police are going to do their utmost to apply draconian anti-terrorist legislation to obstruct as many people as they can. Anyone with a beard or a swarthy complexion should be extra vigilant as random searches will randomly target them. At random.

@ Ian

"I've never seen a government department fight quite this hard to keep up a scheme in spite of so much opposition and so many problems."

Why withhold the reports

Does anyone really believe what these 'spokepeople', wheeled out to supress information, again, which is released by the courts, again, say. Anyone? Even themselves?

So why supress the reports. Ohaybe as my £5 says they they will not work in the stated manner. the reports will undboubtably provide the same level of advice as the drug advisory bodies. eg Solid factual advice the Government will completely ignore as it acts as if it rules by some kind of "Devine Right" where it can do no wrong and anyone who disagrees is stupid, even if they are an expert.

Another nail in the coffin of iD cards? I Hope so.
