Hitachi scores largest loss in Japanese manufacturing history

Alert

Not a surprise since there stuff is great!

They need to take the lesson of crappy Chinese manufactured goods... and make crap.

I have a 10 year old Hitachi big screen TV that just keeps working beautifully... So well that I refuse to buy a new LCD or Plasma because the picture is still so crisp and bright.

Thanks Hitachi

Police want new remote hard drive search powers

Unhappy

I can see it now...

I'm working away on my computer and up pops a remote console message...

"Hi. My name is Tom. I represent the call center in India that your local police force has contracted to remotely search your hard drive for illegal files, documents, software, photos, or anything we think would be fun to look at and post on YouTube. Control of your computer will be returned to you when we are done. It is illegal to interfere with this search and any such interference will result in a mandatory stay in the local for you. Have a nice day."

Abuse by Politicians

Picture the next use for this... Politicians so full of themselves deciding that their time is so bloody valuable (and yours isn't) have their vehicles tagged with a higher priority than yours so that you have to get the hell out of their way. Just as we see today when that cop car speeds by with lights blazing only to be overtaken minutes later at the side of the road, serving coffee and donuts to anther cop in another car. OK, tell me you haven't wondered at least once if that wasn't what was up as they sped by you on the motorway!

Thermite?

Isn't that the recipe for thermite... from Wikipedia "Thermite is a pyrotechnic composition of a metal powder [aluminum] and a metal oxide, which produces an aluminothermic reaction known as a thermite reaction. It is not explosive, but can create short bursts of extremely high temperatures focused on a very small area for a short period of time."

Who in their right mind would paint that on their walls?
