The whole point is that its mobile. Of course its EASY to make a 15" cheap laptop. theres more than enough room to put all the compoents in, but if you look at laptops around the same SIZE there all well over 3x the price.

iThis one is aimed at being portable i believe.. and with a 3.5 hr battery and weighing in at just under 1kg it delivers alot for <500

With gmail, assuming you don't have more than 3gb or emails you can just set it to auto archive any mail downloaded over pop3, so you can always access it even if you HAVE downloaded it, via the web.. and its like a auto backup system :)

so i dont see why imap is so important on gamail...

I can't imagine a non- technical minded person being able to buy a computer and install windows let alone linux without any help :-)

It just isn't practical...

Anyways having a generic OS is a good thing i think, if everyone used different a different OS i.e. 20% buisness used osx, 20 windows, 20 linux, etc etc what a headache that would be for software devalopers.. they can't even get windows working properly let alone moving onto new OS's... what a joke..

Id wager you dont know that only $16b of sonys $64 billion sales come from america, so thats not the reason. Not everything revolves round america. the reason for this profit loss is simply that they sell there ps3's at a loss therefore, of course there going to make a loss since it has just revently been released in europe, australia, New Zealand etc...

The reason that people don't want vista (including me and most people i know/work with) is

1- Takes up huge system resources compared to XP with what gain?? a shiny interface you don't need

2-Anti piracy crap - Vista is meant to be an OS not the software police.. its just a platform to run my programs

3- compatibility issues.. many business orientated programs fail to run correctly on the new OS.. and wont for some time to come...

there is NO reason to want vista over XP.. Unless you want a slower computer???

The apple being so great theory is a load of junk too.. the ONLY reason it works so well is because they design and sell all the hardware and even most software that runs on the damn things. Not because there 'better' designed OS.
