Please accept my sincerest apologies for the appalling behaviour of my Former-Colonoial Christian brothers, they really just don't get God at all.
They seem to think Christianity it is about conforming to a list of rules and regulations, and imposing these rules and regulations on all and sundry. Christ was more bothered about his followers being servants than being masters; therefore, telling people what to do is actually potentially going against God's will.
So, for that reason (though more could be supplied), please accept my sincerest apologies for their behaviour. I would do something unpleasant to them, but I'm not allowed. Bum.
