Re: Reg: May I propose....
Certainly. As you were the first to raise the subject, your punishment should be the most severe ;-)
p.s. you have just lost The Game.

I can't wait for an autonomous car which can drive me home after I've had a few beers. We could also change from being a two-car family to being a one-car family: after the car takes me to work in the morning, it can drive itself back home then take the missus and spawn to their destination.
Better battery technology is the key to making electric vehicles a viable reality.
(Before anyone starts saying "so what the elecricity still comes burning from coal anyway": it doesn't have to. The electricity I use at my house is small solar and big hydro, and there's always the clean nuclear option.)

OK, here is a **serious** answer: after start-up it will display the default orientation, which is portrait. You can then switch to landscape by giving the iPad a sudden rotation (it might take a couple of tries to get the right amount of rotational acceleration to give the desired result). This also works at ground level with 1g: try it with the iPad lying flat on a table.
"William Shatner, a lot of people's* favorite fictional astronaut"
No he isn't. He is not, never has been, and probably never will be an astronaut, fictional or otherwise. He is a real person, actor, musician.
One of the characters he played was (will be) a fictional astronaut, but that is not the same thing.
The answer was that the sheep in the flock aren't moving together, they are each just trying to get as far away as possible from the outside edge of the flock and into the centre where there is less chance of being eaten by a predator. And yes I strongly suspect that a simple rule like that could be expressed mathematically.
Icon shows a deerstalker: deer herd too, presumably for the same reason.
@ Callam McMillan
Very good point. So, how about pumping heat from offices/datacentres to houses? In Stockholm they have a system of pumping heat around the city in underground steam pipes, so it can work. The pipes are, wait for it, insulated ;-)
@NomNomNom
I'm fairly sure you don't actually believe a word of your own post and you are just trolling.
