Obama's BlackBerry still hackable, warns Mitnick

Daniel
IT Angle

Are you kidding me.

I will leave it to Kevin Mitnick to try this one out first. Let's see if that get's him as far as it did with the bell companies. Uber Hacker?? Giving a little to0 much credit to someone that spent years in prison for getting caught not even hacking.

Anyway, As the President's blackberry is only allowed to dial certain numbers and recieve calls from certain people. Do you really think that President Obama and the secret service is going to allow for viagra adds and spam to show up on his blackberry??? Come on!!

I have more chance of Kevin Hacking socially engineering my shorts than Obama does of receiving spam.

Ridiculous!!!

Nintendo whacked with $5m Wii strap lawsuit

Thumb Down

Can you say frivolous??

At best this is a case for small claims court. You have a 52 in Samsung valued at less than $2000 dollars and you are suing for $5,000,000. I think someone is looking for a payday.

At the end of the day it is lawsuits like this that gum up the legal system. If anything I believe this woman should be fined and jailed for even wasting the legal systems time with this crap.

It is high time that the the courts be used for more useful things... Um let's saw actually enforcing the law rather than being the pathway for some white trash mothers financial windfall.

I guess she did not take advantage of Nintendo's gel cover for the Wii controller. I guess her young son is a pretty strong kid to break a tv with a 3 ounce piece of plastic that should have been wrapped in soft silicon.

Can't patch systems but can confirm 100% no data leakage????

So I wrote an article on this a couple days ago. Basically this is just proving my point. These guys are paid to maintain and protect the systems of the NHS but they didn't use due care or due diligence in their day to day operations???

This vulnerability was known about weeks ago. The fact that there was a proof of concept, on the out of ban patch release date should have given them a clue.

But no they collected their pay checks and put patient information at risk.... Now they come out and say "We (NHS) are 100% sure that not data was leaked".

So riddle me this?!?!? They can't patch systems but in one day they went on all the systems and checked if data leakage took place??? I THINK NOT!!! Sorry boys I have a hard time believing you scrubbed all systems for rootkits and malware and filtered all traffic to ensure data leakage did not occur. If you HAD been doing all that ,this would not have take place in the first place.

Actually all you had to do is push one patch!!! What is your excuse for not doing your job??

That is just poor.
