Fenster
A dignified German word for window. And to lighten things up (with a nod to Ballmer), use as an ad character the Addams Family's Uncle Fester.

My 10 month old Time Capsule has been worrying me greatly, after walking through the Dead Time Capsule Cemetery ( http://www.timecapsuledead.org/ ).
I don't have Apple Care for my computer -- if I did, all I have to do is wait for it to die, and Apple will replace it. Instead, I am now keeping it raised on 1" wooden blocks on the corners. And to better cool it, I pulled off the rubber base -- whereupon I got some thermal burns on the ends of my fingers from the metal base plate. Now I am considering the next step -- cutting a hole in the base and putting in a fan.
My Apple account lists the shipping date for my order at the 19th of February - two weeks back from the 6th of February previous shipping date. My MBP order has the faster hard drive, nothing else custom.
There was a delay in the 17" unibody before. This has the new built-in battery with the 8 hour use span (it's probably more like 6 hours). I can only speculate that the delay is in the innovative feature of this model, namely the battery. Maybe it's so that no one can start a class action lawsuit over the battery life spanning 6 hours instead of 8.
There are problems enough for the fan motor collecting dust and inhibiting the movement of cool air. But dust + cardboard fibers clogging the fan motor?
It appears that the cardboard case has corrugations to allow vertical movement of cooling air, but the securing straps appear to get in the way of that. Also, the cooling fan pulls the air to the bottom of the unit, near the power supply. Which is where all of that cardboard dust will collect. And overheat the computer.
