MS Future Decoded conference, or The Empire Strikes Back

Re: Helping the Blind?

As this article is completely lacking in any detail, I'll fill the gaps for you. It was a white stick with a GPS in it, linked to a pair of headphones. It then told the person about the environment around them, such as "there is a bike rack on your right".

Microsoft exams? Tough, you say? Pffft. 5-YEAR-OLD KID passes MCP test

I saw him on Midlands Today last night, he spoke very much like he had been prepped, saying at the end he wanted to be an entrepreneur when he grew up. Having a 6 year old myself he didn't identify with any of the 5/6 year olds I know.

His 'network' consisted of a stack of cisco switches with a laptop and desktop plugged into one of them!

Nope, it really is that good

I was a bit suspicious too about the reviews, but it really is that good! I used to use itunes agent on my S2, but the change to USB storage on the S3 broke it.

This just works, and it seems very lightweight too.

BT comes clean on Infinity modem 'upgrade'

Megaphone

Exactly, I don't know why it's even being reported. Openreach own that modem anyway, I guess they have to say for 'free' to stop the hoards of people phoning up asking how much it's going to cost. Also, it will save blind panic when people get a letter telling them that their modem can overheat.

Well done BT for doing something about it pro-actively and not just waiting till it breaks.

Barclays online banking falls offline

Useless!

It's a shame that the site is not reliable as out of all the online banking sites I have seen it is the most user friendly. And it is always at the end of the month when people get paid, surely their capacity manager has figured this out by now?!?!
