Then as usual tolal panic will happen and politicians and other "experts" will blame everyone else for the disaster.

The real experts will not become involved in recovery until the bungling Beurocrats escalate the problem to extreme.

A notable case - The Russian Submarine KURST.

Lots of us Love Kim

Down here in NZ , our Politicians were shown up be licking the arse of the Americans when they raided Dotcom's home.

The FBI were among the gun toting (assault rifles) coppers ,SIS ,SAS etc. etc.

The affair which the Courts have ruled as illegal ,has shown how our Politicians were pawns of America.

This armed raid was to arrest an alleged criminal whose alleged crime was operating a File Share Website.

The whole thing is a P.R. disaster for the Politicians, and has given much joy to us citizens who know what they are like.

It is know he has had convictions for relatively minor crimes and he has done his time for those.

It is obvious from many of the comments that knowledge of Seismology is almost non existant.

They were to protect to the extent that the risks evaluated , and from what I know were considered elsewhere to be very prepared for such an event

I doubt that Dotcom is anymore of a criminal than a well known Mr Bob Jones.

Mr. Jones admitted a few years ago (after checking on Statute of Limitations) that he had begun his financial empire building by means of getting money for the sale of a Building BEFORE he owned it.

That is certainly illegal and he deserves be Mr. rather than Sir Bob.

I find things on RT that are carefully ignored by BBC and American sites, like Bahrain.

As Bahrain is has an American Naval Base as part of their encirclement of Iran , it is not surprising that the Yanks ignore human rights viloations there.

We had a close call in 1974

There were videos and still shots on Astronomy magazine of an object that went over USA in daylight and was apparently only about 20 miles up.

The glow of the object and the trail were very bright even though it was in broad daylight.

Estimates of the mass varied but it was probably between 500,000 and 1,000,000 Tons (or Tonnes).

The bang would have been very impressive the path had been 20miles (or 21 miles) closer to Earth.
