Bin your Nanos and Shuffles
We've been trialling Music as a family since it launched, lack of support (DRM) on Nano and Shuffle devices is a deal-breaker for us. Won't be subscribing.

This Reg hack should be sacked.
It's not a 'review' if the hack has screwed their Mac up to the point where it can't install Drive.
To then give up without trying it on other Macs, or OSes is NOT the standard of IT journalism we expect from the Reg. If it doesn't work, at least identify why it's broken and share with the community.
Perhaps the 'journalist' is just trolling. Again, NOT what we read The Reg for.
p.s. Have Drive working here on all manner of Windows & Mac boxes, worked first time without any intervention.
I assure you I can write 90's era spaghetti apps that fail to scale in Java just as easily as I can in PHP. Mmmm.... Servlet Bolognese anyone?
The PHP Frameworks we're talking about here help you structure your app around MVC in the same way Spring does and then provide Rails-like 'turnkey' ORM.
I've been tech lead on teams of both J2EE and PHP devs doing enterprise apps. PHP's productivity is higher and the developers have cheaper contract rates.
Chris' comment about Java being "significantly easier than creating PHP ones if you know what you're doing" is complete nonsense.
You need to "know what you're doing" whatever language you use.
